Brian W. Jones (born August 9, 1968) is an American politician serving in the California State Senate. A California Republican Party, Republican, he represents the California's 38th State Senate district, 38th State Senate district, encompassing most of inland San Diego County, California, San Diego County. He previously served in the California State Assembly, representing the California's 71st State Assembly district, 71st district, also encompassing most of inland San Diego County. Prior to being elected to the state assembly, he was a member of the Santee, California, Santee City Council. Early life and education Born in Austin, Texas, Jones moved to California in 1978. Grossmont College
Grossmont College is a public community college in El Cajon, California. Its name originated with the silent film actor and producer William J. Gross, who was enticed by Ed Fletcher to invest the purchase of land, part of which was called Grossmont. The campus sits in the Fletcher Hills community of El Cajon and is bordered by the cities of San Diego and Santee. The California DREAM (Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors) Act is a package of California state laws that allow children who were brought into the US under the age of 16 without proper visas/immigration documentation who have attended school on a regular basis and otherwise meet in-state tuition and GPA requirements to apply for student financial aid benefits. It and past similarly named legislation have been authored by California State Senator Gil Cedillo. In 2011, the California Dream Act was divided into two bills, AB130 and AB131. AB130 was signed by Governor Jerry Brown on July 25, 2011, and AB131 was signed by Brown on October 8, 2011. Pedophilia ( alternatively spelt paedophilia) is a psychiatric disorder in which an adult or older adolescent experiences a primary or exclusive sexual attraction to prepubescent children. Although girls typically begin the process of puberty at age 10 or 11, and boys at age 11 or 12, criteria for pedophilia extend the cut-off point for prepubescence to age 13.
