Brian Feldman (politician)
Brian Jeffrey Feldman (born February 4, 1961) is an American politician and a member of the State Senate in the State of Maryland, representing district 15 in western and northern Montgomery County. He previously served in the Maryland House of Delegates. Before election to office, Feldman was an attorney with the United States Department of Justice and currently is in private practice. Education Feldman received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Penn State University, a Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, and a master's degree in Government from Johns Hopkins University. He currently serves as an adjunct professor at both Johns Hopkins and the University of Maryland, teaching graduate courses on state policymaking, federalism and healthcare policy. The Maryland Senate, sometimes referred to as the Maryland State Senate, is the upper house of the General Assembly, the state legislature of the U.S. state of Maryland. Composed of 47 senators elected from an equal number of constituent single-member districts, the Senate is responsible, along with the Maryland House of Delegates, for passage of laws in Maryland, and for confirming executive appointments made by the Governor of Maryland. It evolved from the upper house of the colonial assembly created in 1650 when Maryland was a proprietary colony controlled by Cecilius Calvert. Robin Ficker (born April 5, 1943) is an American disbarred attorney, real estate broker, former state legislator, political activist, sports heckler, and perennial political candidate. Ficker ran unsuccessfully for Montgomery County Executive in 2018 and for Governor of Maryland in 2022. Early life and education Ficker was born in Takoma Park, Maryland, attended Takoma Park Elementary, and graduated from Montgomery Blair High School. Ficker attended the United States Military Academy for five semesters. He received a B.S. in electrical and mechanical engineering from Case Western Reserve University. Ficker attended the University of Pennsylvania Law School, receiving his J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law.
