Iron Lung Corp were an American electro-industrial group based in Chicago and originally formed by Jamie Duffy, Alex Eller, Gregory A. Lopez, Brian McGarvey, Daniel Neet, Will Nivens, Ethan Novak and Jason Novak. They released three full length albums: '' Big Shiny Spears'' (1997), '' Ditch the Attitude, Pally'' (2002), '' Body Snatchers'' (2013). History Iron Lung Corp was formed in 1996 by members of Chicago's Acumen Nation and Albany's The Clay People. The band's had been collaborating for a year when Chase saw them perform live at the Whiskey in Los Angeles and recommended that they pursue a side project. That year the band was signed Chase's label Re-Constriction Records and issued their debut studio album '' Big Shiny Spears''. The Clay People are an American heavy rock band based in Albany, New York. Singer Daniel Neet has been the only constant member throughout the band's history, providing lyrics and a frontman persona. Guitarist Brian McGarvey and drummer Dan Dinsmore joined in '94 and '96 respectively. These three formed the core unit that would include an ever-changing lineup of musicians, as its style evolved from American coldwave to post-grunge rock and metal. Re-Constriction Records was a division of Cargo Music based in California. The label was founded in 1992 and headed by Chase, who was previously the Music Director at KCR, a student radio station on the campus of San Diego State University. They specialized in releasing bands belonging to the industrial, aggrotech and EBM genres. After the label folded, Chase went to work for Access Communications where he worked for 14 years doing video game-related public relations, including helping to launch Twitch in 2011. In May 2013, he took a staff job at Twitch overseeing all of their PR efforts. In 2019, he left Twitch and shortly thereafter joined StreamElements.
