Brian Chase (basketball)
Brian Matthew Chase (born October 8, 1981) is an American professional basketball player who last played for Olimpia Basket Matera of the Serie A2 Basket. College career Chase played college basketball at Virginia Tech from 1999 to 2003. He averaged 10.9 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game during his four-year stint with the Virginia Tech Hokies. Professional career Chase went undrafted in the 2003 NBA draft. In the 2004–05 season, he joined the American Basketball Association (ABA) team Maryland Nighthawks, where he averaged 18.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game in 13 matches. He began the 2005–06 season with the Gary Steelheads of the Continental Basketball Association (CBA). He then moved to the NBA D-League team Roanoke Dazzle in March 2006. The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five Basketball positions, positions in a regulation basketball game. United States Basketball League
The United States Basketball League (USBL) was a professional men's spring basketball league. The league was formed in 1985 and ceased operations in 2008. The USBL started in 1985 as one of the first basketball leagues to play a late-spring to early-summer schedule. The league quickly became known as a development league for players, with many players moving up to the National Basketball Association, NBA and many more playing in Europe after stints here. In 1996, the league made a stock offering, a rarity among sports leagues. However, in later years, the league declined as rival leagues appeared and USBL had a tougher time replacing teams that folded. The NBA G League, or simply the G League, is the National Basketball Association's (NBA) official List of developmental and minor sports leagues, minor league basketball organization. The 2003 NBA draft was held on June 26, 2003, at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York. The NBA announced that 41 college and high school players and a record 31 international players had filed as early-entry candidates for the 2003 NBA draft. The Cleveland Cavaliers, who had a 22.50 percent probability of obtaining the first selection, won the NBA draft lottery on May 22, and Cleveland chairman Gordon Gund said afterward his team would select LeBron James. Serie A2, known for sponsorship reasons as Serie A2 Old Wild West, is a men's basketball league in Italy. It constitutes the second-tier of the Italian league pyramid, below the first division LBA and above the third division Serie B, with promotion/relegation occurring between these leagues. It is run by the Lega Nazionale Pallacanestro (LNP), itself regulated by the FIP, the Italian federation.
