Brian Altman (poker Player)
Brian Altman (born 1988) is an American professional poker player from Longmeadow, Massachusetts. He has won three titles on the World Poker Tour (WPT). Poker career Altman earned a doctorate in 2012 from the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Albany, New York. He began playing poker with his friends in high school after watching Chris Moneymaker win the 2003 World Series of Poker Main Event, and moved to Montreal, Quebec after college to play online poker full-time. Altman's first WPT title came at the Lucky Hearts Poker Open in February 2015, where he outlasted a field of 1,027 and earned $723,000. In January 2020, he won the tournament again, this time against a field of 843. He became the first player in WPT history to win the same event twice. Altman won his third title at the Seminole Hard Rock Tampa in June 2021 against a field of 1,165, becoming the seventh player to win three WPT titles. Longmeadow, Massachusetts
Longmeadow is a town in Hampden County, Massachusetts, in the United States. The population was 15,853 at the 2020 census. History Longmeadow was first settled in 1644, and officially incorporated October 17, 1783. The town was originally farmland within the limits of Springfield. It remained relatively pastoral until the street railway was built , when the population tripled over a fifteen-year period. After Interstate 91 was built in the wetlands on the west side of town, population tripled again between 1960 and 1975. During the 19th and early 20th centuries, Longmeadow was best known as the site from which Longmeadow brownstone was mined. Several famous American buildings, including Princeton University's Neo-Gothic library, are made of Longmeadow brownstone. 2018 World Series Of Poker
The 2018 World Series of Poker (WSOP) is the 49th annual tournament, and took place from May 30 to July 17 at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. There was a record 78 bracelet events. The $10,000 No Limit Hold'em Main Event began on July 2 and concluded on July 15. The Main Event, as well as the Big One for One Drop, were again streamed in their entirety on ESPN and Poker Central. The 2018 World Series of Poker featured the announced retirement of ten-time bracelet winner and Poker Hall of Fame member Doyle Brunson from tournament poker, an announcement that came after he registered for the $10,000 No Limit 2-7 Lowball Draw Championship (Event 23). PokerStars Caribbean Adventure
The PokerStars Caribbean Adventure was an annual televised poker tournament. The event was first held in 2004 and was originally co-sponsored by PokerStars and the World Poker Tour. In 2008, the event moved from the WPT to the European Poker Tour. In 2010, the event was moved again and served as the inaugural event of the North American Poker Tour. In 2017 the tournament was the inaugural event of the new PokerStars Championship tour and renamed PokerStars Championship Bahamas. The name was changed back to the PCA for 2018 and the buy-in restored to $10,000. In 2004, the event took place on the Royal Caribbean ''Voyager of the Seas'' cruise ship. Phillip Dennis Ivey Jr. (born February 1, 1977) is an American professional poker player who has won ten World Series of Poker bracelets, one World Poker Tour title, and appeared at nine World Poker Tour final tables. Ivey is regarded by numerous poker observers and contemporaries as the best all-around player in the world. In 2017, he was elected to the Poker Hall of Fame. Background Ivey first began to develop his poker skills by playing against co-workers at a New Brunswick, New Jersey, telemarketing firm in the late 1990s. 2020 World Series Of Poker Online
The 2020 World Series of Poker Online was a series of online poker tournaments organized by the World Series of Poker (WSOP). It was held from July 1-September 8 and featured 85 bracelet events, 31 on WSOP.com and 54 on GGPoker. In June, the WSOP announced the series as a result of postponing the 2020 WSOP in Las Vegas, Nevada due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Events included the $50 Big 50, the lowest buy-in WSOP event in history, as well as four People's Choice tournaments that allowed players to vote on which game to play. The series culminated in the $5,000 No Limit Hold'em Main Event beginning on August 16 with a $25 million guaranteed prize pool, the largest in online poker history. World Poker Tour Season 18 Results
Below are the results of season 18 of the World Poker Tour (2019–21). There were 29 scheduled events. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, several events on the schedule were postponed. In addition, three final tables that were supposed to take place at the HyperX Esports Arena at the Luxor Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas were also delayed. In January 2021, the WPT returned with the WPT Lucky Hearts Poker Open, the first live event since March 2020. The three final tables that were delayed were played in either March or May, more than a year after the lineup was set. The Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown, the final event on the schedule, set a new record for the largest WPT event with 2,482 entrants.
