Brian Altman
Brian Altman (born 16 August 1957) King's Counsel, KC is an English lawyer who has been Lead Counsel for the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse since 10 January 2017. Altman was First Senior Treasury Counsel at the Central Criminal Court (Old Bailey) from 2010-13. Altman is the joint Head of Chambers o2 Bedford Row barristers' chambers. Career Altman was called to the Bar by Middle Temple in 1981. In 1997 he was appointed junior Treasury Counsel - Standing Counsel to the Crown at the Old Bailey, Central Criminal Court (Old Bailey). Chingford Foundation School is a coeducational state secondary school and sixth form located in Chingford in the London Borough of Waltham Forest. It is a specialist Humanities College and has been an academy since October 2012. Hyde Park And Regent's Park Bombings
The Hyde Park and Regent's Park bombings were carried out on 20 July 1982 in London, England. Members of the Provisional Irish Republican Army (IRA) detonated two improvised explosive devices during British military ceremonies in Hyde Park and Regent's Park, both in central London. The explosions killed eleven military personnel: four soldiers of the Blues and Royals at Hyde Park, and seven bandsmen of the Royal Green Jackets at Regent's Park. Seven of the Blues and Royals' horses were also killed in the attack. One seriously injured horse, Sefton, survived and was subsequently featured on television programmes and was awarded " Horse of the Year". In 1987, Gilbert "Danny" McNamee was convicted of making the Hyde Park bomb and jailed for 25 years. The Babes in the Wood Murders were the murders of two nine-year-old girls, Nicola Fellows and Karen Hadaway, on 9 October 1986, by a 20-year-old local roofer, Russell Bishop in Wild Park, Moulsecoomb, Brighton, Sussex, England. Bishop was tried and acquitted in 1987. The case remained open until 10 December 2018, when Bishop was found guilty of the murders in a second trial. The investigation into the two girls' murders is the largest and longest-running inquiry ever conducted by Sussex Police.
