Aled Brew
Aled Brew (born 9 August 1986) is a former Wales international rugby union player who played as a Wing (rugby union), winger. He made his debut for the Wales national rugby union team against Ireland national rugby union team, Ireland in the 2007 Six Nations Championship. In his career, as well as playing for Biarritz Olympique and Bath Rugby, he is one of only a handful of players to have played for all four top-level regional teams in Wales. Early life Brew was born in Cardiff to a Welsh mother and Ghanaian father, and was raised a Welsh (language), Welsh language speaker in Gwaun-Cae-Gurwen. John Richard Brew AM (born 19 August 1938) is an Australian public servant, engineer, educator and administrator. He has been recognised for significant contributions to transport as Managing Director of the Urban Transit Authority and Chief Executive of the State Rail Authority and as a consultant at national level. He has also been active in the field of education holding honorary positions in the Anglican school system of NSW and as an academic, and was President of the Baptist Churches of NSW and ACT. John Raymond Brew (14 January 1903 – 21 August 1979) was an Australian rules footballer who played for and coached in the Australian Football League, Victorian Football League. Brew grew up in the suburb of West Melbourne where his father Michael was a hotelkeeper. He first attended St Mary's Primary School, West Melbourne before moving to St Joseph's College, Melbourne, St. Joseph's Christian Brothers' College, North Melbourne where he was a pupil between 1914 and 1920. During his teenage years he performed in numerous school concerts in a variety of roles ranging from elocutionist, piano player and Shakespearean actor. Nathan Brew (born 21 April 1982) is a former Welsh international rugby union player. Brew played in the centre and on the wing. Early life Brew was born in Cardiff to a Welsh mother and Ghanaian father, and was raised a Welsh language speaker in Gwaun-Cae-Gurwen. Club career Newport RFC Brew began his professional rugby career at Newport RFC, signing for the Black and Ambers when he was still only 19. He made his debut for the Rodney Parade club in a Celtic League match at home to Edinburgh on 1 September 2001. He had to wait nearly six months, however, to score his first try for the club, eventually crossing in a WRU Challenge Cup match against Bonymaen RFC. Osborne Henry Kwesi Brew (27 May 1928 – 30 July 2007) was a Ghanaian poet and diplomat. Biography Brew was born in Cape Coast, Ghana, to a Fante family in 1928. He was brought up by a British guardian—education officer, K. J. Dickens—after his parents died. He was one of the first graduates from the University College of the Gold Coast in 1951. While still a student, Brew participated in college literary activities and experimented with prose, poetry, and drama. After graduation he won a British Council poetry competition in Accra, and his poems appeared in the Ghanaian literary journal ''Okyeame'', as well as several important African anthologies. Katherine (Kate) Margaret Brew Vaughn (October 22, 1873 – May 20, 1933) was an American author, lecturer, home economics teacher, newspaper writer, and radio host. Early life Kate Brew was born on October 22, 1873, in Hendersonville, Tennessee, the daughter of Patrick H. O'Gorman Brew (1821–1898) and Catherine "Kate" White (1841–1907).
