Bretton Byrd (30 November 1904 – 27 September 1959) was a British composer and musician known for his work on film scores between 1932 and 1956. Born in Ramsgate, Kent, his real name was James Thomas Bird.Hantley, John. This led to work as conductor and composer for travelling revues and pantomimes around the UK. He accompanied Hetty King, Harry Jolson (brother of Al) and other variety acts. Bretton Richardson
Bretton Richardson is an American baseball coach and former catcher, who is the a current assistant coach for the Florida A&M Rattlers. He played college baseball at Florida A&M. Richardson then served as the head coach of the Florida A&M Rattlers (2011) and the Alcorn State Braves (2016–2021). Early life Richardson attended Lincoln High School in Tallahassee, Florida. Richardson then accepted a scholarship to attend Florida A&M University. He caught for the Rattlers, who won the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) in 1990, 1991 & 1992. Coaching career Richardson spent four seasons as an assistant baseball coach at Lincoln High School. In 1998, he joined the Florida A&M staff as a graduate assistant. Mark de Bretton Platts (born 1947) is a philosopher at the Instituto de Investigaciones Filosóficas de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (Institute for Philosophical Investigation, National Autonomous University of Mexico). He is well known for criticizing the Humean theory of motivation, especially in his book ''Ways of Meaning'' (1979/1997). Life Platts was born in England in 1947. He studied philosophy at University College, Oxford, where he received his Bachelor of Philosophy in 1972. He has won several prizes for his academic work, such as the Henry Wilde Prize (in 1969) and the John Locke Prize (in 1971) from Oxford University. Raphaël Bretton
Raphaël Bretton (7 February 1920 – 20 February 2011) was a French set decorator. He won an Oscar and was nominated for three more in the category Best Art Direction. Biography He was born Raphaël Gaston Beugnon in Paris, France. During World War II he fled to England, and in 1943 was recruited into the Special Operations Executive (SOE). His evaluations during training where not promising. His instructors considered him "soft", "petulant" and "prone to bouts of childish temper". He was eventually transferred to the American Office of Strategic Services (OSS) and commissioned into the United States Naval Reserve with the rank of lieutenant. In April 1944, Beugnon and two other agents were parachuted into northern France. Their mission, codenamed "Beggar", recruited more than 90 agents to operate in the Oise department, north-west of Paris.
