Brett Wilkie
Brett Wilkie is an Australian international lawn bowler. Bowls career Wilkie came to prominence after winning the Australian national championship and qualifying for the 2009 World Singles Champion of Champions event, where he won the gold medal defeating Wayne Hogg of Scotland in the final. He was selected to play for Australia during the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi where he won a triples silver medal. Wilkie then won the gold medal in the fours with Aron Sherriff, Mark Casey and Wayne Ruediger during the 2012 World Outdoor Bowls Championship in Adelaide and a silver medal in the triples. He competed in the men's fours at the 2014 Commonwealth Games where he won a bronze medal. He won two silver medals at the 2011 Asia Pacific Bowls Championships in Adelaide. Wayne Hogg (born 24 September 1980) is a Scottish international indoor and lawn bowler. Bowls career In 2008 he won the gold medal in the triples at the 2008 World Outdoor Bowls Championship in Christchurch along with David Peacock and Willie Wood. He then won the 2008 Scottish National Bowls Championships singles title qualifying for the 2009 World Singles Champion of Champions event, where he won the silver medal losing to Brett Wilkie of Australia in the final. Australia competed at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Queensland between 4 and 15 April 2018. It was Australia's 21st appearance at the Commonwealth Games, having competed at every Games since their inception in 1930. Australia previously hosted the Games four times – 1938 Sydney, 1962 Perth, 1982 Brisbane and 2006 Melbourne. Being the host nation, Australia sent a contingent of 474 athletes, participating in all of the 18 sports staged. Though only 469 competed. Aaron Wilson (born 24 November 1991) is an Australian international lawn bowler. Bowls career Wilson won the 2016 World Junior Championships and won the gold medal with bowls partner Brett Wilkie in the pairs at the 2016 World Outdoor Bowls Championship and won a silver medal in the fours. He won the Australian Open singles title in 2013. Wilson was selected as part of the Australian team for the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast in Queensland, where he won a gold medal in the singles.
