Brett Le Man
Brett Le Man (born 15 April 1962) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1980s and 1990s. Background While attending Cooparoo High School, Le Man played for the Australian Schoolboys team in 1979. Playing career The curly-haired back-rower played in the Brisbane Rugby League (BRL) for the Easts Tigers and Brisbane Brothers, winning a first-grade premiership with both clubs (Easts in 1983, and Brothers in 1987). Le Man went on to play for the Brisbane Broncos between their foundation year of 1988 and 1991, appearing in 38 games and scoring nine tries. Craig Grauf
Craig Grauf (born 24 July 1967) is a former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1980s and 1990s. Playing career Grauf, a talented halfback or five-eighth, started his first-grade career in the Brisbane competition in 1986 for the Norths Devils when coach Greg Oliphant decided to give the then 18-year-old a shock call-up. Not only was he promoted to the top-grade, but he also became the BRL's youngest-ever captain in the process. Grauf cemented his spot in first-grade for Norths and was instrumental in the club's much improved 1987 season which saw them reach the preliminary final. He also played for Fulham RLFC ( Heritage № 189) in England during the Australian off-season of 1987-88. A bomb, also known as an up and under or a Garryowen, is a type of kick used in various codes of football. As the names suggests, it is a high kick intended to send the ball relatively straight up so players can get under it before it comes down (see ''hang time''). Rugby league The execution of a ''bomb'' in rugby league involves putting up a high kick in general play. The ball often does not travel very far forward, giving the attacking team time to run ahead to where it is expected to land, providing the possibility of re-gaining possession amongst an un-set defensive line. Bombs are often used when close to the try-line, so that the attacking team's best jumpers have a chance to leap for the ball and come down with it in the in-goal area. The Brisbane Tigers are a rugby league club based at Langlands Park, in the suburb of Coorparoo in Brisbane, Australia. Since 1996, they have competed in the Queensland Cup, having competed in the Brisbane Rugby League from 1934 to 1997, where they won eight premierships.
