Brett Galea
Brett Galea (born 25 June 1972) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played professionally for the Brisbane Broncos and Adelaide Rams. His brother, Paul, also played professionally for Gold Coast and North Queensland Cowboys. Playing career Galea was a Fortitude Valley Diehards junior before joining the Brisbane Broncos in the NSWRL Premiership in 1992. He won the clubs Rookie of the Year award that year and remained with the club until the end of the 1996 season. In 1997 Galea joined the new Adelaide Rams The Adelaide Rams were an Australian professional rugby league football club based in Adelaide, South Australia. Queensland Rugby League Northern Division
The Northern Division of the Queensland Rugby League is responsible for administering the game of rugby league in North Queensland, specifically in the area from Sarina in the south to Cape York Peninsula, Cape York and the Torres Strait Islands in the north and west to Mount Isa as well as into the Gulf Communities. There are over 8000 registered players across 36 senior clubs and 39 junior clubs in this division. The Northern Division is responsible for the historic Foley Shield competition that is held each year. Mid West and Mount Isa play in the Toyota Outback Carnival.
