Brett Dorey
Brett Raymond Dorey (born 3 October 1977) is an Australian former cricketer. He played four One Day Internationals (ODIs) for the Australia national cricket team in 2006, picking up two wickets. He played domestic first-class and one-day cricket for Western Australia from the 2004–05 to 2010–11 seasons. Life and career Dorey was born in East Fremantle, Western Australia. He started his cricketing career playing for the Western Australian Under-17 and Under-19 sides during the late 1990s, before he travelled around Europe for two and half years. He suffered a terrible accident while snowboarding in Austria: after knocking himself out, Dorey was trying to navigate back to his base when he was cut off by a German whose skis sliced open his right knee. ING Cup (cricket)
The One-Day Cup, known as the Marsh One-Day Cup for sponsorship reasons, is an Australian domestic List A 50-over limited-overs cricket tournament. It has had many different names, formats and teams since the inaugural 1969-1970 season. Initially a knockout cup, the competition now features a single round-robin followed by a finals series. The tournament is contested between teams representing the six states of Australia, who also compete in the first-class Sheffield Shield. The 2010–11 Sheffield Shield season was the 109th season of the Sheffield Shield, the first-class domestic cricket competition of Australia. The season began on 8 October 2010, and ended on 21 March 2011 at the Bellerive Oval, Hobart, with the Tasmanian Tigers winning their second shield. The New South Wales men's cricket team (formerly named NSW Blues) are an Australian men's professional first class cricket team based in Sydney, New South Wales. The team competes in the Australian first class cricket competition known as the Sheffield Shield and the limited overs Marsh One-Day Cup. Caught
Caught is a method of dismissing a batsman in cricket. A batsman is out caught if the batsman hits the ball, from a legitimate delivery, with the bat, and the ball is caught by the bowler or a fielder before it hits the ground. Shaun Pollock
Shaun Maclean Pollock OIS (born 16 July 1973) is a South African cricket commentator and former cricketer, who was captain in all formats of the game. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest fast bowlers and allrounders of all time. A genuine bowling all-rounder, Pollock along with Allan Donald formed a bowling partnership for many years. Trevor Hohns
Trevor Victor Hohns (born 23 January 1954) is a former Queensland and Australian cricketer who played in seven Test matches as a spin bowler, and was later Australia's chairman of selectors. Earlier in his career when Hohns was a relatively obscure player on the fringes of Queensland cricket, he signed up to play for the Rebel Australians during the controversial South African series in 1985–86 and 1986–87 during the Apartheid reign. Hohns was one of only two spin bowlers in the touring party, along with former Australian Test left-arm spinner, Tom Hogan. The 2005–06 edition of the VB Series (so-called because of sponsor Victoria Bitter) was a three-team One Day International men's cricket tournament held in Australia in January and February 2006, between the hosting nation's team, South Africa and Sri Lanka.
