Bressie
Niall Breslin (born 22 October 1980), known as Bressie, is an Irish musician, former Westmeath Gaelic footballer and Leinster Rugby player. Breslin found success as the lead singer, guitarist, songwriter with pop band The Blizzards, as a co-writer and producer with XIX Entertainment and as a solo artist. He was the winning coach on the first, third and fifth seasons of ''The Voice of Ireland''. The Voice Of Ireland
''The Voice of Ireland'' is the Irish edition of the international TV franchise ''The Voice'', a reality singing competition created by media tycoon John de Mol. The first series began airing from 8 January 2012 on RTÉ One. The coaches originally were Bressie, Sharon Corr, Kian Egan and Brian Kennedy. Kennedy left after the first series and was replaced by Jamelia. After the second series, Corr quit the show owing to other commitments and was replaced by Dolores O'Riordan. Following series 3, Dolores and Jamelia quit. The coaches for series 4 were Bressie, Una Healy, Kian Egan and Rachel Stevens. Pat Byrne (singer)
Pat Byrne is an Irish singer songwriter from Borris, County Carlow. In 2012, Byrne was crowned the winner of the first series of ''The Voice of Ireland'', which led to the release of his debut album, "All or Nothing." In January 2019, Byrne emigrated to Austin, Texas, after several previous visits to the city that included recording sessions for the album Rituals, released in October 2018. Brendan McCahey
Brendan McCahey is an Irish singer-songwriter and recording artist with Universal Music. McCahey also previously worked in a vintage guitar store. In April 2014, he was crowned winner of series 3 of the talent competition ''The Voice of Ireland''. He was mentored by former Blizzards frontman Bressie. Brendan became the bookies' favourite to win top prize after receiving a score of 28 out of 30 from coaches Kian Egan, Dolores O'Riordan and Jamelia. The Blizzards are an Irish band from Mullingar in County Westmeath. They were formed by Niall Breslin in late 2004, and also feature Dec Murphy (drums), Justin Ryan, Anthony Doran, Louize Carroll (bass) and Aidan Lynch (keyboards). They have achieved multiple platinum record sales and have won numerous awards. Their debut single, the self-released "First Girl to Leave Town", entered the Irish Singles Chart at number 11 in 2005. The Irish Book Awards are Irish literary awards given annually to books and authors in various categories. In 2018 An Post took over sponsorship of the awards from Bord Gais Energy. It is the only literary award supported by all-Irish bookstores. First awarded in 2006, they grew out of the Hughes & Hughes bookstore's Irish Novel of the Year Prize which was inaugurated in 2003. Since 2007 the Awards have been an independent not-for-profit company funded by sponsorship. The primary sponsor is An Post, the state owned postal service in Ireland. Mullingar
Mullingar ( ; ) is the county town of County Westmeath in Ireland. It is the third most populous town in the Midland Region, with a population of 20,928 in the 2016 census. The Counties of Meath and Westmeath Act 1543 proclaimed Westmeath a county, separating it from Meath. Mullingar became the administrative centre for County Westmeath. ''Domino Effect'' is the second studio album from The Blizzards, released on 12 September 2008. The first single from the album " Trust Me, I'm A Doctor" was released in August 2008, A second single, "The Reason" was released in November 2008. The third single, "Postcards", was released on 27 February 2009. Album information The second track to be released from the album was "The Reason", receiving nationwide success like its predecessor, "Trust Me, I'm a Doctor". The third single, "Postcards" was released on 27 February 2009 and is a slower, different style to the Blizzards' usual music.
