Brent Williams (Australian Footballer)
Brent Cameron Williams (born 13 February 1978) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Adelaide in the Australian Football League (AFL). Williams came from Victoria and represented his state at Under-17 level, where he was an All-Australian. A forward, he came the way of Adelaide in the 1995 AFL draft, with a pick that they had received from Geelong in return for Martin McKinnon. After spending the 1996 season playing in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) with West Adelaide, Williams appeared in the opening seven rounds for Adelaide in 1997. Prahran Dragons
The Sandringham Dragons are an Australian rules football club playing in the NAB League, the top statewide under-18 competition in Victoria, Australia. They are based at the Trevor Barker Oval in Sandringham, Victoria, representing the southern suburban area of Melbourne. The Dragons were one of the founding metropolitan clubs of the competition in 1992 as part of a plan by the Victorian State Football League to replace the traditional club zones with independent junior clubs. This was to help aid in player development and the process of the AFL draft. The club was originally named the ''Central Dragons'' and played out of Toorak Oval in Prahran, Victoria. In 1995 the name of the club was changed to ''Prahran Dragons'' as part of the agreement which saw the Prahran Two Blues exit the senior Victorian Football League. Matthew Collins (Australian Footballer)
Matthew Collins (born 2 February 1977) is a former Australian rules footballer who played in the Australian Football League. He was well known for a large distinct Indian tattoo on his shoulder. He played originally for the Macleod Football Club in Victoria. AFL career Adelaide Collins was drafted at pick 38 from Northern U18 where he was regarded as a promising running defender. Collins broke his leg playing for North Adelaide in the SANFL and missed out on AFL football in his first year. He made his AFL debut in round 10 1996, playing 8 games in his debut season. Groin injury hampered his 1997 season managing 6 games late in the season. He was omitted before finals and missed out on playing in the Crows first premiership. The Noble Park Football Club is an Australian rules football club that fields teams in both the seniors and juniors of the Eastern Football League (EFL) in Melbourne. The club is considered one of Victoria’s most successful breeding grounds for VFL/AFL players. Due to the club's rich history of Premierships and its contribution to the sport and the community, in 2005, Noble Park was recognised as the only sporting club named by the City of Greater Dandenong, among its 14 sporting heroes' commemorative display. The Eastern Football Netball League (known previously as the Eastern Districts Football League and later the Eastern Football League) is an Australian rules football league, based in the eastern suburbs of metropolitan Melbourne. History The Eastern Districts Football League was established on 15 February 1962, but its origins can be traced back to the Reporter District Football League established in 1903. Nathan Bassett
Nathan "Bassy" Bassett (born 7 December 1976) is a former Australian rules footballer for the Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He is currently an assistant coach with the Port Adelaide Football Club. Career Bassett made his SANFL debut for Norwood in 1994, he finished sixth in the club best and fairest as a 19-year-old and was drafted at pick 3 by Melbourne Football Club in the inaugural AFL rookie draft. Melbourne Drafted with the third selection in the first AFL Rookie Draft by in 1997, Bassett was elevated to the senior list after Round 4 in 1997 to replace Craig Turley but suffered a fractured sternum in the next Reserves game and was unable to make his AFL debut for the Demons. When he made his return to the reserves he played six more games at full forward but didn't see much of the ball and wasn't suited to the role.
