Brent Scott (basketball)
Brent Steven Scott (born June 15, 1971) is an American former professional basketball player, formerly in the NBA. Scott was a 6'10", . center. Scott is currently an assistant coach at Penn State. College career Scott played college basketball at Rice University. Professional career Scott played 16 games with the Indiana Pacers during the 1996–97 NBA season, averaging 1.2 points and 0.6 rebounds per game. He also played professionally in Poland (Anwil Wloclawek), Spain (for Tau Cerámica, Real Madrid Baloncesto, Polaris World Murcia), Italy (for Olitalia Forlì, Viola Reggio Calabria and Snaidero Udine) and Greece ( Gymnastikos S. Larissas, PAOK and AEK Athens). Coaching career On June 25, 2007, Rice University announced that Scott would be an assistant basketball coach. The FIBA Under-19 Basketball World Cup (formerly FIBA Under-19 World Championship) is the under-19 men's world basketball championship organised by the International Basketball Federation ( FIBA). United States Basketball League
The United States Basketball League (USBL) was a professional men's spring basketball league. The league was formed in 1985 and ceased operations in 2008. The USBL started in 1985 as one of the first basketball leagues to play a late-spring to early-summer schedule. The league quickly became known as a development league for players, with many players moving up to the NBA and many more playing in Europe after stints here. In 1996, the league made a stock offering, a rarity among sports leagues. However, in later years, the league declined as rival leagues appeared and USBL had a tougher time replacing teams that folded. In the last two seasons, the league was mainly a midwestern league, with teams mainly in Kansas, Nebraska, and Oklahoma. After speculation that the USBL might fold after the 2007 season, the league announced that it would sit out the 2008 season and consider its options for the future. The HEBA Greek All-Star Game, also known as the EKO Greek All-Star Game for sponsorship reasons, is the All-Star Game of the HEBA ( Greek: ΕΣΑΚΕ) Greek professional basketball association for men. It was founded and organized by Gus Sarianides. The men's all-star game has most often been played in a format featuring the Greek All-Stars, versus the Rest of the World All-Stars. There is also a men's slam dunk competition, and a men's 3-point shootout competition. The Penn State Nittany Lions basketball team is an NCAA Division I college basketball team representing the Pennsylvania State University. They are a member of the Big Ten Conference and play home games at the 15,261-seat Bryce Jordan Center, moving there from Rec Hall during the 1995–96 season. The VCU Rams men's basketball team is the intercollegiate men's basketball team that represents Virginia Commonwealth University. The Rams joined the Atlantic 10 Conference in the 2012–13 season after previously competing in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA). In 2017, VCU was ranked the 40th most valuable men's basketball program in the country by ''The Wall Street Journal''.
