Brennan Armstrong
Brennan Armstrong (born October 18, 1999) is an American football quarterback. He plays college football for NC State. Armstrong attended and played football for Shelby High School in Ohio. He started his career with Virginia, where he won the starting job for the Cavaliers for his redshirt sophomore season and led them to a 5–5 record. As a redshirt junior, Armstrong led Virginia to the Wasabi Fenway Bowl which was canceled due to COVID-19. He is the all-time leader in career passing yards, total offense, passing touchdowns, consecutive games with a passing touchdown, 200, 300, and 400-yard games, and career pass attempts. He is also Virginia's single season leader in passing yards in a season, total offense, passing touchdowns, and passing completions. Old Dominion Monarchs Football
The Old Dominion Monarchs football program represents Old Dominion University in U.S. college football. The first iteration of the team created in 1930 was known as the William & Mary Norfolk Division Braves. Founded in 2009, the current Monarchs team competed as an FCS independent for their first two seasons. Redshirt, in United States college athletics, is a delay or suspension of an athlete's participation in order to lengthen their period of eligibility. Typically, a student's athletic eligibility in a given sport is four seasons, aligning with the four years of academic classes typically required to earn a bachelor's degree at an American college or university. However, in a redshirt year, student athletes may attend classes at the college or university, practice with an athletic team, and "suit up" (wear a team uniform) for play – but they may compete in only a limited number of games (see " Use of status" section). Using this mechanism, a student athlete has at most five academic years to use the four years of eligibility, thus becoming what is termed a fifth-year senior. 2018 Belk Bowl
The 2018 Belk Bowl was a college football bowl game played on December 29, 2018. It was the 17th edition of the Belk Bowl, and one of the 2018–19 bowl games concluding the 2018 FBS football season. The game was sponsored by the department store chain Belk. With the bowl contested by two nearby public universities, attendance to the game increased by some 15,000 spectators over the previous year and had its highest attendance total since 2011. Virginia shut out South Carolina, 28–0. This was the largest margin of victory in the history of the Belk Bowl. Joseph William Reed (born January 4, 1998) is an American football wide receiver and return specialist for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Virginia. Early life and high school Reed grew up in Charlotte Court House, Virginia and attended Randolph-Henry High School. He played high school football. Bryce Perkins (born December 20, 1996) is an American football quarterback for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Arizona State, Arizona Western, and Virginia before signing with the Los Angeles Rams as an undrafted free agent in 2020.
