Brendon Edmonds
Brendon Edmonds (born 28 November 1990) is a former New Zealand rugby union player who played as a prop for in the ITM Cup and the in Super Rugby. Career Hailing from the Hawke's Bay Region, Edmonds played during the 2006-2008 seasons for the Central Hawkes Bay College 1st XV along with the likes of Dominic Bird, Mua Sala & Andrew Burne. Edmonds then represented Hawkes Bay at Under 16, 18 and 20 level before making his senior breakthrough in 2011 where he came on in the ITM Cup Championship final in Palmerston North against Manawatu, helping his Magpies side win the title and get promoted to the 2012 ITM Cup Premiership. However it was the following year that Edmonds began making a name for himself with some strong displays in a good campaign for the Magpies. He was not initially named in any Super Rugby squads for the 2014 season, but some injuries to front-row players at the Hurricanes saw him called up to their wider training squad. Ongaonga, New Zealand
Ongaonga is a village in Central Hawkes Bay District of New Zealand's North Island. It is located 20 kilometres west of Waipawa and a similar distance from Waipukurau. The village was founded in 1872 when Henry Hamilton Bridge subdivided his farm. Highlanders (rugby Union)
The Highlanders (formerly the Otago Highlanders) is a New Zealand professional rugby union team based in Dunedin that compete in Super Rugby. The team was formed in 1996 to represent the lower South Island in the newly formed Super 12 competition, and includes the Otago, North Otago and Southland unions. The Highlanders take their name from the Scottish immigrants that helped found the Otago, North Otago, and Southland regions in the 1840s and 1850s. Their main ground through the 2011 Super Rugby season was Carisbrook in Dunedin, with home games occasionally being played in Invercargill and Queenstown. Western Force
The Western Force is an Australian professional rugby union team based in Perth, Western Australia, currently competing in Super Rugby Pacific. They previously played in Super Rugby from 2006 until they were axed from the competition in 2017. Following their axing they played in the National Rugby Championship in 2018 and 2019, replacing the Perth Spirit, and Global Rapid Rugby from 2018 to 2020, an Indo-Pacific competition organised by Andrew Forrest.
