Brenda Hampton
Brenda Hampton (born August 19, 1951) is an American television show creator, writer and producer. She created, wrote and produced the television shows '' 7th Heaven'', ''Fat Actress'', and ''The Secret Life of the American Teenager''. Biography Hampton grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. Her father was an electrical engineer for AT&T and a television repairman. She studied journalism at the University of Georgia, graduating in 1973. After finishing her university studies, she worked as a technical writer for the U.S. Navy, wrote speeches, technical manuals and corporate newsletters. In the 1980s, she moved to Los Angeles and began writing for '' Sister Kate'', an American situation comedy which aired on the NBC television network in 1989 and lasted one season. Dudley Stuart John Moore CBE (19 April 193527 March 2002) was an English actor, comedian, musician and composer. Moore first came to prominence in the UK as a leading figure in the British satire boom of the 1960s. He was one of the four writer-performers in the comedy revue '' Beyond the Fringe'' from 1960 that created a boom in satiric comedy, and with a member of that team, Peter Cook, collaborated on the BBC television series '' Not Only... ''Daddy's Girls'' is an American television sitcom created by Brenda Hampton and David Landsberg, that aired on CBS from September 21 to October 12, 1994. Overview The series followed Dudley Walker (Dudley Moore), the owner of a New York fashion house who loses his wife and his business partner when, after a years-long secret affair, they run off together leaving him as the primary caretaker to his three daughters. The series is notable as the first in which a gay principal character was played by an openly gay actor. Harvey Fierstein played Dennis Sinclair, a high-strung designer at Walker's firm. The series was critically panned, and was placed "on hiatus" after only three episodes had aired. This was Moore's penultimate on-screen job and his last regular television series. David Landsberg (September 3, 1944 – August 5, 2018) was an American actor, writer, and producer. He was sometimes credited as Dave Landsburg. He both acted in and co-wrote several comedies throughout the 1980s. Early life David Landsberg was born in Brooklyn, New York City, New York. His parents were Arthur and Sylvia Lansberg, who had two sons, David and his older brother Joseph.
