Lin Brehmer
Lin Brehmer (August 19, 1954 – January 22, 2023) was an American disc jockey and radio personality at WXRT in Chicago. Brehmer hosted mornings on WXRT from 1991 to 2020, and middays from early 2020 until taking a leave of absence to undergo chemotherapy in 2022. Early life and education Brehmer graduated from Colgate University in 1976, where he got his start in radio while filling in at the university's student-run WRCU-FM radio station during a summer semester. Early career Brehmer began working professionally in radio in January 1977. His first disc jockey job was in Albany, New York at WQBK-FM, where he earned the nickname, "The Reverend of Rock and Roll." Heike Brehmer (born 5 November 1962) is a German politician of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) who has been serving as member of the Bundestag and former district counselor of the district of Aschersleben-Staßfurt. Early life and career Heike Brehmer was born in Staßfurt. She completed an apprenticeship in gastronomy and afterwards an apprenticeship as a merchant for agriculture and food industry (''Land- und Nahrungsgüterwirtschaft, LNG''). She later qualified to a business administration graduate at a Fachhochschule (FH). From 1990 to 1994, she was a municipality director in Tarthun and from 1994 to 2003 head of the joint administrative office Bördeaue. Hermann Brehmer
Hermann Brehmer (14 August 1826 – 28 December 1889) was a German physician who established the first German sanatorium for the systematic open-air treatment of tuberculosis. Biography Brehmer was born in Kurtsch (Kurczów) near Strehlen (Strzelin), Prussian Silesia. He studied mathematics, astronomy, and natural science at the University of Breslau (Wrocław) from 1847 to 1850. Having gone to Berlin to work at an herbarium in 1850, he abandoned natural science and dedicated himself to medicine at the University of Berlin, receiving his doctorate in 1853. Alternately, as a botany student in Silesia, Brehmer was diagnosed with tuberculosis and told to find a healthier climate. He went to the Himalayas, continued his studies, and found himself cured. In 1854 he returned to Germany to study medicine, ultimately writing a dissertation titled "Tuberculosis is a Curable Disease". Christina Lathan (née Brehmer; born 28 February 1958) is a retired East German sprinter who specialised in the 400 metres. Born in Altdöbern, Brehmer started training in 1969 at the sports club SG Dynamo Senftenberg, and was transferred to SC Dynamo Berlin in 1973. At the 1975 European Junior Championships she won three gold medals, in 400 m, 4 × 100 metres relay and 4 × 400 metres relay. In 1976 she set world record 49.77 seconds, first electronic time under 50 seconds. The record was broken by Poland's Irena Szewińska a month later. At the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal she won the silver medal in the 400 m behind Irena Szewinska, as well as a gold medal in the 4 x 400 m relay with her teammates Brigitte Rohde, 400 m bronze medalist Ellen Streidt and Doris Maletzki.
