Breagh MacKinnon
Breagh MacKinnon (born January 17, 1991), known professionally as Breagh Isabel, is a Canadian recording artist, songwriter, and producer based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She has written for a variety of Canadian artists, including Banners, Donovan Woods, Classified, Jocelyn Alice, and Ria Mae. Life and career Born into a musical family on Cape Breton Island, Isabel began writing songs in high school. In college, she majored in jazz piano performance, while writing and recording music of her own. In 2015, Isabel, still performing as Breagh MacKinnon, teamed up with fellow singer-songwriters Dylan Guthro and Carleton Stone to form the band Port Cities. In 2016, the band was signed to Turtlemusik and Warner Music. Port Cities' debut album, produced by Gordie Sampson, was released on February 10, 2017. Classified (rapper)
Luke Boyd (born December 13, 1977), better known by his stage name Classified, is a Canadian rapper and record producer from Enfield, Nova Scotia. Musical career 1995–2004: Early beginnings Boyd attended Hants East Rural High School in Milford Station, Nova Scotia. He started his own production label, Half Life Records, and released his first full-length LP called ''Time's Up, Kid'' in 1995. Carleton Stone
Carleton Stone is a Canadian singer-songwriter based in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. After recording three albums as a solo artist, Stone joined forces in 2015 with musicians Dylan Guthro and Breagh Mackinnon to form the pop band Port Cities. Life and career Stone was born in Sydney, Nova Scotia. He had a musical family and grew up listening to Bruce Springsteen, Ryan Adams, and Bob Dylan, among others. He began his professional musical life fronting a band, and self-produced the group's debut album, entitled ''Carleton Stone Drives the Big Wheel'', which was released in 2009. In 2011, he became a solo artist, releasing the eponymous ''Carleton Stone,'' produced by Hawksley Workman. Dylan Guthro
Dylan Guthro (born 1991) is a Canadian singer/songwriter based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The son of musician Bruce Guthro, Dylan released his debut album, ''All That's True'', in 2012. In 2015, Guthro teamed up with fellow Halifax singer-songwriters Carleton Stone and Breagh Mackinnon to form the band Port Cities. Life and career Dylan Guthro was exposed to music since birth as the son of Cape Breton singer-songwriter Bruce Guthro. While on tour with his father, Guthro played some demos he had recorded of his own material to musician Dave Gunning. Gunning was eager to help transform the demos into a full-fledged album.
