Brač Airport
Brač Airport ( hr, Zračna luka Brač; ) is an airport on the Croatian island of Brač, close to the town of Bol, after which it is sometimes also named informally. It is one of three island airports in the country (the other two being Krk – Rijeka Airport and Lošinj – Lošinj Airport) used for commercial passenger flights, mainly charter traffic from Europe during the summer season. Overview Brač Airport is situated in Veško field, 543m above sea level. It is located some 14 km from Zlatni Rat (Golden horn) and 30 km from Supetar, the largest town on the island. Due to the airport's elevation as well as the vicinity of the highest island's peak, Vidova gora, there is a possibility of fog, low stratus and poor visibility. Brač is an island in the Adriatic Sea within Croatia, with an area of , making it the largest island in Dalmatia, and the third largest in the Adriatic. The Airbus A220 is a family of five-abreast narrow-body airliners by Airbus Canada Limited Partnership. Bolzano Airport ( it, Aeroporto di Bolzano — Dolomiti, german: Flughafen Bozen — Dolomiten) is a small regional airport near Bolzano in the province of South Tyrol in northern Italy. History The airport was created in October 1926 with a 1300-meter landing runway. In June 2016, a public opinion poll decided to no longer support the highly deficient airport with money from the government. Therefore, it was decided that the airport's operator company would be liquidated and the licence given back to the Italian authorities, which means the airport would be shut down entirely if no other operator were found. The airline is a subsidiary of Fri-El Green Power, an Italian company focusing on renewable energy. History The airline was founded by South Tyrolean entrepreneur Josef Gostner, who was part of ABD Holdings, a company that purchased Bolzano Airport from the South Tyrol government in 2019.
