Brazil (EP)
''Brazil'' is the second EP by Dutch recording artist Loona. The album was recorded in 2014 and released on June 6, 2014 through Sony. Background Between 2009 and 2013, Loona released a string of summervibe tune singles, such as " Vamos a la playa", a Miranda cover, "Parapapapapa", "El Cucaracho, El Muchacho", a collaboration with Movetown, the Pigbag classic ""El Tiburón", "Policia", "Oh la la dance avec moi", the Los Diablos cover version "Rakatakata (Un Rayo de Sol)" or "Caliente". All these singles to be included on her long-awaited, sixth studio album with the working title ''Summer Dance'', later retitled ''Rakatakata (Un Rayo de Sol)''. In 2014, when the WM came up, Loona released a 5-Track EP subtitled "Big 5" digitally through iTunes. Pop music is a genre of popular music that originated in its modern form during the mid-1950s in the United States and the United Kingdom. Herbert Arthur Wiglev Clamor Grönemeyer (born 12 April 1956) is a German singer, musician, producer, composer and actor, popular in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Bruce Sussman
Bruce Howard Sussman (born July 12, 1949) is an American lyricist, and librettist. Though he has collaborated with numerous composers, he is probably best known for his work with his long-time collaborator, Barry Manilow. Together they have written over two hundred songs for numerous recording artists, films, stage musicals and television programs. Life and career Sussman was born in Jackson Heights, Queens, New York and was raised on Long Island, where he graduated from Sanford H. Calhoun High School in Merrick, New York. Jack Feldman is an American lyricist who has written songs for television, film, and Broadway. He has worked on many Disney movies ranging from ''Oliver & Company'' to '' The Lion King II: Simba's Pride'', collaborating with Alan Menken on the songs for '' Newsies''. Samuel Bouriah (born 19 October 1969), better known by his stage name DJ Sammy, is a Spanish DJ and record producer. He has released five albums and has had five top-10 hits, including a cover of Bryan Adams' "Heaven", which reached number one in the UK in 2002. His career started with ex-wife Marie-José van der Kolk in the making of his first singles, under the stage name of DJ Sammy featuring Carisma. Bob Russell (April 25, 1914 – February 18, 1970) was an American songwriter (mainly lyricist) born Sidney Keith Rosenthal in Passaic, New Jersey. Career Russell attended Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. He worked as an advertising copywriter in New York; for a time, his roommate there was Sidney Sheldon, later a novelist. He turned to writing material for vaudeville acts, and then for film studios, ultimately writing complete scores for two movies: ''Jack and the Beanstalk (1952 film), Jack and the Beanstalk'' and ''Reach for Glory''. Ary de Resende Barroso (1903–1964), better known as Ary Barroso, was a Brazilian composer, pianist, soccer commentator, and talent-show host on radio and TV. "Copacabana", also known as "Copacabana (At the Copa)", is a song recorded by Barry Manilow. Written by Manilow, Jack Feldman, and Bruce Sussman, it was released in 1978 as the third and final single from Manilow's fifth studio album, '' Even Now'' (1978). Background The song was inspired by a conversation between Manilow and Sussman at the Copacabana Hotel in Rio de Janeiro, when they discussed whether there had ever been a song called "Copacabana". After returning to the US, Manilow – who, in the 1960s, had been a regular visitor to the Copacabana nightclub in New York City – suggested that Sussman and Feldman write the lyrics to a story song for him.
