Braz Chediak (born June 1, 1942, in Três Corações) is a Brazilian actor, screenwriter and filmmaker. With Aurélio Teixeira, he was responsible for the argument and the script of the film ''Mineirinho, Live or Dead'' (1967), Cinemateca Brasileira ''Mineirinho, Vivo ou Morto'm linha">[em linha/nowiki>/ref> and the adaptation of ''Meu Pé de Laranja Lima (film)">Meu Pé de Laranja Lima ''My Sweet Orange Tree'' ( pt, Meu Pé de Laranja Lima) is a novel by José Mauro de Vasconcelos. The book was first published in 1968 and was used for literature classes for elementary schools in Brazil. It has also been translated and published ...'' in 1970. Três Corações () is a municipality in the south of Minas Gerais state in Brazil. As of 2020, the city population was estimated at 80,032, making it one of the largest cities in the south of Minas Gerais. The city is geographically located close to the circumcenter of the three largest metropolitan areas in Brazil ( Belo Horizonte, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo), thus making it a strategic hub for commerce. Cinemateca Brasileira
The Cinemateca Brasileira is the institution responsible for preserving Brazilian audiovisual production. In July 2021, it experienced a major fire. Since 1940, it has been developing activities around the dissemination and restoration of its collection, with around 250 thousand rolls of films and more than one million documents related to cinema. It is located in Largo Senador Raul Cardoso, São Paulo. The building previously acted as the Old Municipal Slaughterhouse of São Paulo from 1887 to 1927. It had the largest collection of "moving images" in Latin America and is one of the largest institutions of its kind in the world. It preserved a large part of the nation's cinematographic content and houses the greatest collection of Brazilian cinema, with more than 250,000 rolls of film.
