Mark Mathew Braunstein (born August 6, 1951) is an American writer, nature photographer, art librarian, and advocate of medical marijuana legalization. His writing focuses on the topics of vegetarianism/veganism, wildlife conservation, animal rights, sprouting, and raw food. Peter Braunstein (born January 26, 1964) is an American former journalist, writer and playwright who became infamous for committing an October 31, 2005 rape and leading police on a multi-state manhunt until his capture and self-injury in Memphis, Tennessee on December 16, 2005. Dubbed the "Halloween rapist", the "fake firefighter", "fire fiend", and other names by the media, Braunstein became the most wanted man in New York City, a dubious honor often reserved for murderers, mobsters, or terrorists. Braunstein formerly worked as a writer for ''Women's Wear Daily'' and ''The Village Voice'', and his former colleagues avidly followed the case on blogs. Pierre Braunstein (born 4 October 1947) is a French chemist. He was director of the Laboratoire de Chimie de Coordination ( Coordination Chemistry Laboratory, CNRS-Université de Strasbourg) of Strasbourg (France) and is a member of the French Academy of Science. Biography He graduated from the École nationale supérieure de chimie de Mulhouse (with rank #1) in 1969 and then obtained his doctorate (Dr.Ing.) (under the supervision of J. Rubin Braunstein (1922–2018) was an American physicist and educator. In 1955 he published the first measurements of light emission by semiconductor diodes made from crystals of gallium arsenide (GaAs), gallium antimonide (GaSb), and indium phosphide (InP). GaAs, GaSb, and InP are examples of III-V semiconductors. The III-V semiconductors absorb and emit light much more strongly than silicon, which is the best-known semiconductor. Braunstein's devices are the forerunners of contemporary LED lighting and semiconductor lasers, which typically employ III-V semiconductors. Ronald Braunstein (born July 27, 1955 in Shirley, Massachusetts) is an American orchestral conductor. He is currently the music director and conductor oMe2/ the world's only classical music organization created for individuals living with mental illnesses and the people who support them. Néstor Alberto Braunstein (1941 – 2022) was an Argentine-Mexican physician, psychiatrist and psychoanalyst. Biography Braunstein was born in Bell Ville. He graduated as a physician in 1962, at the age of 20, and received his M.D. in 1965 from the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, Argentina, where he taught at college level as early as 1959. In 1974 he was forced into exile for political and academic reasons and moved to Mexico where he worked as a psychiatrist in different public institutions for the treatment of both children and adults. Guy Braunstein (born 1971) is an Israeli-American conductor and classical violinist. Born in Tel Aviv, Israel, he began to study the violin at age seven. In Israel he studied under the guidance of Valeria Blotner and Haim Taub. In the United States under the guidance of Glenn Dicterow and Pinchas Zukerman. Braunstein developed a solo and chamber music career. He performed as a soloist with leading orchestras around the world and played in many chamber music groups such as the Huberman Quartet. Jacques Braunstein (August 30, 1931 – November 27, 2009) was a Venezuelan musician, economist, publicist and disc jockey. A native of Bucharest, Romania, Braunstein studied violin at age six and later, at age thirteen, took up the double bass. Raised in a Jewish home, he moved to Brazil with his family before settling in Caracas, Venezuela in the early 1950s, becoming a Venezuelan citizen in 1955.
