Bratři v triku is a Czech animation studio founded in 1945. Later in 1956, it is now a subsidiary of Krátký film Prague. History The studio was founded in 1945. It was responsible for many award-winning films such as Munro. Famous animators such as Zdeněk Miler, Jiří Trnka, Břetislav Pojar. Jiří Brdečka and Zdeněk Smetana are linked with the studio. Also the studio created TV shows and serials, notable are ''Krtek, Bob a Bobek, Čtyřlístek, Kosí bratři'' and ''Mach a Šebestová'' to name a few. Czech Radio
Český rozhlas (ČRo) is the public radio broadcaster of the Czech Republic operating since 1923. It is the oldest radio broadcaster in continental Europe and the second oldest in Europe after the BBC. ('clover leaf') is a Czech Republic, Czech Czech comics, comic book series continuously published since 15 May 1969 created by Jaroslav Němeček. In the 1980s an average edition contained about 220 000 prints and became one of the most popular comic books for children. Author Čtyřlístek was created by Jaroslav Němeček born in 1944 in Prague. He is an illustrator and he is accountable for multiple Czech comics, between the most famous ones you may find Čaroděj Huriáš (wizard Huriáš) and Rexík. Velvet Revolution
The Velvet Revolution ( cs, Sametová revoluce) or Gentle Revolution ( sk, Nežná revolúcia) was a non-violent transition of power in what was then Czechoslovakia, occurring from 17 November to 28 November 1989. Popular demonstrations against the one-party government of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia included students and older dissidents. The result was the end of 41 years of one-party rule in Czechoslovakia, and the subsequent dismantling of the command economy and conversion to a parliamentary republic. On 17 November 1989 (International Students' Day), riot police suppressed a student demonstration in Prague. The event marked the 50th anniversary of a violently suppressed demonstration against the Nazi storming of Prague University in 1939 where 1,200 students were arrested and 9 killed (see Origin of International Students' Day). Mach A Šebestová
Mach a Šebestová (in English: Mach and Šebestová or Max and Sally) is a Czech cartoon series. It was created by writer Miloš Macourek, animator Jaroslav Doubrava, and painter Adolf Born. The animated characters were voiced by Petr Nárožný. The animation is produced in a studio of Barrandov under Bratri v triku/Kratky Film Praha/Ustredni Pujcovna Filmu mark (later Bonton acquired and distributed the old episodes as of today). The story follows the adventures of two third-year pupils and a torn off telephone receiver. The first series of 13 episodes was broadcast on Czechoslovak Television in 1982. Mach a Šebestová is one of the most popular series made for children's television programme Večerníček. Mole ( Czech: ''Krtek'', ''Krteček'') is an animated character in a series of cartoons created by Czech animator Zdeněk Miler. The premiere of the first short film with Mole took place at the Venice Film Festival in 1957. Since its inception, the cartoon has gained enormous popularity in many Central European countries, as well as India, China, Kazakhstan, Croatia, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Iran, Iraq, and Japan. History Krtek was first seen in 1956 in Prague, when Miler wanted to create a children's cartoon about how flax is processed. He wanted a strong Disney influence to the cartoon by choosing an animal for the leading role, and decided to pick a mole after stumbling over a molehill during a walk.
