Brasil Open
The Brasil Open was a tennis tournament held annually in São Paulo, Brazil. It was part of the ATP Tour 250 series, and was one of the main events in the Brazilian tennis calendar alongside ATP Tour 500 Rio Open. Since 2004, it was a part of the South American clay court circuit but was held on hard courts prior to 2004. Nicolás Almagro and Pablo Cuevas hold the record for most singles titles with three each, while in doubles the record is held by Bruno Soares with three consecutive titles from 2011 to 2013. On 15 October 2019, tournament organisers announced that the tournament was being scrapped in favour of a return to the Chile Open. Chile Open (tennis)
The Chile Open (also known as the Chile Dove Men+Care Open for sponsorship reasons) is a professional men's tennis tournament played on outdoor red clay courts in Santiago, Chile. In its history it was held alternately in Viña del Mar city and in 2010, Colina. It is part of the ATP Tour 250 of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Tour and part of the four-tournament Golden Swing. History In 1992, Brazil suspended its three ATP tournaments. When the ATP resolved to keep these tournaments in Latin America, brothers Jaime and Álvaro Fillol decided to buy the organizing rights to hold one of these events in Chile. The first edition was held in Santiago in November 1993. In 1999, it was not held, due to the ATP's decision to reschedule the event to February 2000. Paolo Lorenzi
Paolo Lorenzi (; born 15 December 1981) is an Italian former professional tennis player. Lorenzi was coached by Claudio Galoppini. Tennis career Lorenzi reached his first ATP World Tour final at the age of 32, in São Paulo. Here, at the 2014 Brasil Open, the Italian reached the semifinals of an ATP Tour tournament for the first time, upsetting Juan Mónaco in three sets; then progressing to the final after the retirement of Tommy Haas in the second set of their semifinal match. He went on to lose the final to Argentine Federico Delbonis in three sets. Pablo Carreño Busta (; born 12 July 1991) is a Spanish professional tennis player. He has been ranked as high as world No. 10 by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), which he first achieved on 11 September 2017.
