Anna Branting
Anna Matilda Charlotta Branting (; 19 November 1855 – 11 December 1950), was a Swedish journalist and writer. She was a Social Democrat and married to Swedish prime minister Hjalmar Branting. From the 1880s to 1917, she was an influential theater critic in the Stockholm press under the pseudonym Réne. Life Anna Branting's parents were police inspector Erik Jäderin and Charlotta Gustava Holm. She married lieutenant and nobleman Gustav Vilhelm von Kraemer (1851–1884) in 1877, and divorced him in 1883. She married secondly to Hjalmar Branting in 1884. She had two children with her first husband, Vera and Henry von Kraemer, and two with her second, Georg Branting and Sonja Branting. She was educated at the statens normalskola för flickor in 1868–72. Georg Branting
Georg Branting (21 September 1887 – 6 July 1965) was a Swedish Social Democrat and Olympic fencer. He was the son of Hjalmar Branting and Anna Branting, and a member of the Riksdag 1932–1961. In the Spanish Civil War, a Scandinavian battalion of the International Brigades was named after him, as a sign of thanks for his vehement support of the Spanish Republic. Related to the Civil War of Finland in 1918, he wrote a book translated in 1925 in Finnish as: ''Oikeudenkäyttö Suomessa, Muutamia asiakirjoja selityksineen''. Hjalmar Branting
Karl Hjalmar Branting (; 23 November 1860 – 24 February 1925) was a Swedish politician who was the leader of the Swedish Social Democratic Party (SAP) from 1907 until his death in 1925, and three times Prime Minister of Sweden. When Branting came to power in 1920 Swedish general election, 1920, he was the first Social Democratic Prime Minister of Sweden. When taking office for a second term after the 1921 Swedish general election, general election of 1921, he became the first Democratic socialism, democratic socialist head of government in Western Europe elected under universal suffrage.
