Alex Nicol
Alexander Livingston Nicol Jr. (January 20, 1916 – July 29, 2001) was an American actor and film director. Nicol appeared in many Westerns including '' The Man from Laramie'' (1955). He appeared in more than forty feature films as well as directing many television shows including ''The Wild Wild West'' (1967), ''Tarzan'' (1966), and ''Daniel Boone'' (1966). He also played many roles on Broadway. Biography Nicol was born in Ossining, New York, in 1916. When his movie career started thirty-four years later he adjusted the year to 1919. "I was a little older than some of the other people under contract so I thought, 'Well, I'll cure that right now'," he later confessed. His father was the arms keeper at Sing Sing. José Luis Borau
José Luis Borau Moradell (8 August 1929 – 23 November 2012) was a Spanish producer, screenwriter, writer, and film director. He won the Goya Award for Best Director in 2000 for '' Leo''. Borau was born in Zaragoza. In addition to directing, he acted in some films, including '' Everyone Off to Jail'' in 1993. He was president of the Spanish Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (1994–1998), and member of the jury at the 41st Berlin International Film Festival in 1991. In February 2008 he was elected to the B seat of the . Borau died on 23 December 2012 aged 83 in Madrid from a throat cancer. Career Born in Zaragoza. Films, particularly those of the influential Dollars trilogy, spawned numerous films of the same ilk and often with similar titles, particularly from the mid to late 1960s and early 1970s. By the end of the 1970s, spaghetti Westerns had lost their following among mainstream cinema audiences and the production had ground to a virtual halt. The spaghetti Western is a broad subgenre of Western films produced in Europe. It emerged in the mid-1960s in the wake of Sergio Leone's filmmaking style and international box-office success. The term was used by foreign critics because most of these Westerns were Cinema of Italy, produced and directed by Italians. The majority of the films in the spaghetti Western genre were international Co-production (media), co-productions by Italy and Spain, and sometimes France, West Germany, Britain, Portugal, Greece, Yugoslavia, and the United States. Over six hundred European Westerns were made between 1960 and 1978, including nearly five hundred in Italy, which dominated the market. José Álvarez Canalejas (14 February 1925 – 1 May 2015), known as José Canalejas, was a Spanish actor. He appeared in more than 100 films and television shows between 1960 and 1997.
