Brandur Olsen
Brandur Hendriksson Olsen (born 19 December 1995) is a Faroese professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for 1. divisjon club Fredrikstad and the Faroe Islands national team. Name Since "Olsen" is a very common surname in Denmark, he is referred to by various sources as "Brandur Olsen". However, his personal preference is "Hendriksson" as a testament to the pride he has of the Faroe Islands. He also wanted to make his father proud, as his father's first name is Hendrik. Skálavík
Skálavík ( da, Skålevig) is a village and municipality on the eastern coast of the Faroese island Sandoy. History The village's stone church was built in 1891. The famous Faroese writers Heðin Brú (born Hans Jacob Jacobsen) (1901–1987) and Kristian Osvald Viderø (1906–1988) were both born in Skálavík. In late January 2008 Skálavík was hit by a strong hurricane. The port was destroyed, along with many boats and houses. The damage was so great that emergency aid was provided from Iceland. Depilin í Skálavík - Hotel Skálavík In May 2011 a new center opened in Skálavík. It was donated by shipowner Eiler Jacobsen (1930-2010), who was born in the village. Tórsvøllur
Tórsvøllur is a football stadium on the sport site of Gundadalur in Tórshavn, the capital of the Faroe Islands. The stadium holds 5,000 people, and was built in 1999 to become the country's national stadium to provide an artificial grass surface on which international football matches could be played. Previously, the Faroe Islands national team played its home matches in the town of Toftir at Svangaskarð stadium. The UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying tournament was a football competition that was played from September 2014 to November 2015 to determine the 23 UEFA member men's national teams joining the automatically qualified host team France in the UEFA Euro 2016 final tournament. A total of 53 national teams participated in this qualifying process, with Gibraltar taking part for the first time. Hallur Hansson (born 8 July 1992) is a Faroese professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for KÍ. Starting his professional career in Scotland as part of Aberdeen, he moved to Denmark to play for AaB from 2012 until 31 January 2014.
