Brandon Wood (basketball)
Brandon Wood (born January 5, 1989) is an American professional basketball player who is a free agent. He played college basketball at Southern Illinois, Valparaiso and Michigan State. High school career Wood played high school basketball at Kokomo High School, in Kokomo, Indiana. College career Wood played college basketball for Southern Illinois, Highland CC, Valparaiso and Michigan State from 2007 to 2012. Professional career In January 2016 he signed with Israeli team Elitzur Yavne of the Liga Leumit. In August 2016 Wood signed for Swiss team BBC Monthey. On November 6, 2018, Wood joined Panionios of the Greek Basket League. He left the team after only one game, but after the departure of head coach Vassilis Fragkias, he briefly returned to the team's squad, only to be dismissed once again. The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five Basketball positions, positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. Point guards are expected to run the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. Above all, the point guard must understand and accept their coach's game plan; in this way, the position can be compared to a quarterback in American football. Greek Basket League
The Greek Basket League (GBL), often also referred to as the Greek A1 Basketball League, or Greek Basketball Championship (originally called Panhellenic Basketball Championship), and also known as the Stoiximan Basket League for sponsorship reasons, is the first tier level professional basketball league in Greece. Liga Leumit ( he, ליגה לאומית, lit. ''National League'') is the second tier level league of basketball competition in Israel. It is the league level that is below the first tier Israeli Basketball Premier League, Israeli Premier League. Horizon League
The Horizon League is an 11-school collegiate athletic conference in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I, whose members are located in and near the Great Lakes region. The Horizon League founded in 1979 as the Midwestern City Conference. The conference changed its name to Midwestern Collegiate Conference in 1985 and then the Horizon League in 2001. The Hungarian Cup ( hu, Magyar Kupa) is the Hungarian cup competition for football clubs. It was started by the Hungarian Football Association, the ''Magyar Labdarúgó Szövetség,'' in 1909, eight years after the commencement of the Hungarian League ( hu, Nemzeti Bajnokság). The Nemzeti Bajnokság I/A ( en, National Championship I/A, commonly abbreviated NB I/A) is the highest level league of club men's basketball in Hungary. Format The league comprises 14 teams. A NB I/A season is split into a league stage and a playoff/playout stage.
