Brandon D. Smith (born June 14, 1967) is an American businessman from Hazard, Kentucky who serves in the Commonwealth of Kentucky Senate. He is a Republican. Background Born in Hazard, Smith is a 1991 graduate of the University of Kentucky with a B.A. in political science. He is the owner of Mohawk Energy, a small mining company based in Lexington; the company is unrelated to the Texas fracking supply corporation by the same name. He is a Presbyterian and a Freemason. Smith and his wife Laurel have five children. Public office Smith served on the city commission of Hazard from 1993 to 1998. Brandon Nathaniel Smith (born April 12, 2001) is an American football linebacker for the Philadelphia Eagles. He played college football at Penn State. High School career Smith attended Louisa County High School in Louisa, Virginia. As a senior in 2018, he was named the Gatorade Football Player of the Year for Virginia. He appeared in the 2019 Under Armour All-America Game. Smith committed to Penn State University to play college football. Apoptygma Berzerk (; commonly abbreviated to APB or APOP) is a Norwegian musical group. They have achieved success with a brand of synth-pop, and ballads backed with electronic rhythms, commonly known within the scene and referring to themselves as "futurepop". Apoptygma Berzerk has over 30 releases and won awards and Top 10 spots in Germany and Scandinavia. Apoptygma Berzerk has toured Europe, North America, South America, Israel and Australia with bands such as VNV Nation, Beborn Beton, Icon of Coil and Unheilig. Formation The band was formed by Stephan Groth and Jon Erik Martinsen in 1989.
