Brandon Rogers (ice Hockey)
Brandon Rogers (born February 27, 1982) is an American former professional ice hockey defenseman who last played with the Iserlohn Roosters in the DEL. Playing career Rogers was drafted 118th overall in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft by the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. He played high school hockey at the Hotchkiss School in Connecticut before undertaking a collegiate career at the University of Michigan for the Michigan Wolverines of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association. After turning professional, and unsigned, he was invited to the Calgary Flames training camp for the 2005–06 season. Rogers was then assigned to the Flames affiliate the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights in the AHL before he was loaned to the Norfolk Admirals. On August 23, 2007, Rogers continued in the AHL after was signed by the Houston Aeros. Norfolk Admirals (AHL)
The Norfolk Admirals were a professional ice hockey team that played in the American Hockey League. They became affiliated with the Anaheim Ducks after being dropped from the Tampa Bay Lightning following their 2012 AHL championship season. The Admirals played in Norfolk, Virginia at the Norfolk Scope. For the 2015–16 season, the Admirals moved to San Diego, California to become the newest version of the San Diego Gulls as part of the AHL's efforts to create a Pacific Division. Calgary Flames
The Calgary Flames are a professional ice hockey team based in Calgary. Concussion
A concussion, also known as a mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI), is a head injury that temporarily affects brain functioning. Symptoms may include loss of consciousness (LOC); memory loss; headaches; difficulty with thinking, concentration, or balance; nausea; blurred vision; sleep disturbances; and mood changes. Any of these symptoms may begin immediately, or appear days after the injury. An all-time high of thirty teams played 80 games each during the regular season schedule, which started on October 8, 2010 and ended on April 10, 2011. This season featured the addition of one new team, the relocation of two others, and the renaming of another. In ice hockey, the captain is the player designated by a team as the only person authorized to speak with the game officials regarding rule interpretations when the captain is on the ice. At most levels of play each team must designate one captain and a number of alternate captains (usually two or three) who speak to the officials when the captain is on the bench. Captains wear a "C" on their sweaters, while alternate captains wear an "A".
