Brandon Pfaadt
Brandon Connor Pfaadt ( ; born October 15, 1998) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Arizona Diamondbacks of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut in 2023. Career Pfaadt attended Trinity High School in Louisville, Kentucky, and played college baseball at Bellarmine University. In 2019, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Wareham Gatemen of the Cape Cod Baseball League. The Arizona Diamondbacks selected Pfaadt in the fifth round of the 2020 Major League Baseball draft The 2020 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft took place on June 10 and 11, 2020. In baseball, the pitcher is the player who throws ("pitches") the baseball from the pitcher's mound toward the catcher to begin each play, with the goal of retiring a batter, who attempts to either make contact with the pitched ball or draw a walk. The Visalia Rawhide are a Minor League Baseball team of the California League and the Single-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks. They are located in Visalia, California, and have played their home games at Valley Strong Ballpark since their inception in 1946.
