Brandon McNulty
Brandon Alexander McNulty (born April 2, 1998) is an American cyclist who rides for UCI WorldTeam . In the 2016 UCI Road World Championships – Men's junior time trial, 2016 UCI Junior World Time Trial Championships McNulty became the fourth American junior world champion after Greg LeMond, Jeff Evanshine, and Taylor Phinney, winning the time trial by 35 seconds. Career Early career McNulty grew up in Phoenix, Arizona and enjoyed riding mountain bikes in his free time. McNulty excelled early, winning almost every mountain bike race he entered while racing in the 11-12 junior categories. McNulty gradually transitioned to road racing. After several wins in local races in Belgium in 2014, McNulty caught the eye of Roy Knickman, manager of LUX cycling. 2018 Tour Of California
The 2018 Tour of California was a road bicycle racing, road cycling cycling stage race, stage race that took place between May 13 and 19, 2018 in California, United States. It was the thirteenth edition of the Tour of California and the twenty-second event of the 2018 UCI World Tour. Egan Arley Bernal Gómez (born 13 January 1997) is a Colombian cyclist who rides for UCI WorldTeam . The UCI WorldTour (2009–2010: ''UCI World Ranking'') is the premier men's elite road cycling tour, sitting above the UCI ProSeries and various regional UCI Continental Circuits. United States National Time Trial Championships
The United States National Time Trial Championships are held annually to decide the American champions in this cycling discipline, across various age and gender categories. Originally, in 1975, the time trial event distance was 25 miles. It later changed to 40 km, and still later changed to the current distance of 32.3 km (20.1 miles). The winners of each event are awarded with a symbolic cycling jersey which is red, white and blue, just like the national flag, these colors can be worn by the rider at other time trialling events in the country to show their status as national champion. The champion's stripes can be combined into a sponsored rider's team kit design for this purpose. Clarence "Roy" Knickman (born June 23, 1965) is a former professional road bicycle racer from the United States, who won the bronze medal in the Men's Team Time Trial at the 1984 Summer Olympics. His teammates in Los Angeles, California were Ron Kiefel, Andrew Weaver, and Davis Phinney. Knickman rode in the 1988 and 1989 Tour de France for Team 7 Eleven. He memorably featured in one of the greatest breakaways in the history of Paris–Roubaix in 1988. Jeff Evanshine (born October 2, 1973 in Placentia, CA) is a former professional road bicycle racer from the United States. He was the 1991 UCI Junior Road World Champion.
