Brandon Gilbeck
Brandon Gilbeck (born December 9, 1996) is an American professional basketball player for the Formosa Taishin Dreamers of the ASEAN Basketball League and P. League+. He played college basketball for Western Illinois. High school career Gilbeck played basketball for River Valley High School in Spring Green, Wisconsin. As a senior, he averaged 17.4 points, 10.7 rebounds and 3.9 blocks per game. Gilbeck was named Wisconsin Division 5 All-State Honorable Mention and graduated as his school's all-time leader in blocks. College career Gilbeck played for Western Illinois for four years. As a sophomore, he set a single-season school record with 85 blocks and ranked fourth in the NCAA Division I with three blocks per game. In his junior season, Gilbeck was named Summit League Defensive Player of the Year and All-Summit League Honorable Mention. He became Western Illinois' all-time leader in blocks. The center (C), or the centre, also known as the five or the pivot, is one of the five Basketball position, positions in a regulation basketball game. The center is normally the tallest player on the team, and often has a great deal of strength and body mass as well. In the NBA, the center is typically close to tall. They traditionally play close to the basket in the low post. CEBL Defensive Player Of The Year
The Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) is a men's professional minor league basketball organization. The CEBL was founded in 2017 and began play in 2019 with six teams competing all owned and operated by ownership group Canadian Basketball Ventures. The league currently consists of ten teams from six different provinces, with four being from Ontario, two from Alberta and one each from the provinces of British Columbia, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Quebec, making the CEBL the largest professional sports league based entirely in Canada. Serie A2, known for sponsorship reasons as Serie A2 Old Wild West, is a men's basketball league in Italy. It constitutes the second-tier of the Italian league pyramid, below the first division LBA and above the third division Serie B, with promotion/relegation occurring between these leagues. It is run by the Lega Nazionale Pallacanestro (LNP), itself regulated by the FIP, the Italian federation. Names History The league was created in May 1974, by the Lega Basket, the organisation in charge of running the LBA (to this day), that decided to create a new second division with 10 clubs. WGEM (1440 AM) is a radio station in Quincy, Illinois broadcasting a sports radio format. The station is owned by Gray Television and is an affiliate of ESPN Radio. The station is also broadcasting via FM translator W255CY, 98.9 FM, licensed to Quincy. Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons Men's Basketball
The Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons men's basketball team is the intercollegiate men's basketball team that represents Purdue University Fort Wayne (PFW). They have been a member of the Horizon League since 2020 (departing from the Summit League after thirteen years). Formerly, they represented the now defunct Indiana University – Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW). The team has yet to participate in the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament.
