Brandon Facyson
Brandon Lamar Facyson ( ; born September 8, 1994) is an American football cornerback for the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Virginia Tech Hokies football, Virginia Tech. Professional career Los Angeles Chargers Facyson signed with the Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2018. Facyson finished his rookie season with 3 tackled gridiron, tackles, playing in 15 games as well as both playoff games for the Chargers. In Facyson's second season he made his first professional start in a Week 2 loss to the Lions. Facyson finished his second season starting 4 games, playing in all 16, and recording 41 tackles. Facyson was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list by the team on November 7, 2020, and activated on November 25. Facyson re-signed with the Chargers on March 19, 2021. A cornerback (CB) is a member of the defensive backfield or secondary in gridiron football. Cornerbacks cover receivers most of the time, but also blitz and defend against such offensive running plays as sweeps and reverses. The injured reserve list ( IR list) is a designation used in North American professional sports leagues for athletes who suffer injuries and become unable to play. The exact name of the list varies by league; it is known as "injured reserve" in the National Football League (NFL) and National Hockey League (NHL), the "injured list" in the Canadian Football League (CFL), and the injured list (historically known as the "disabled list") in Major League Baseball (MLB). The National Basketball Association (NBA) does not have a direct analog to an injured reserve list, instead using a more general-purpose "inactive list" that does not require a player to be injured. Theodore Edmond Bridgewater Jr. (born November 10, 1992) is an American football quarterback for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). Born and raised in Miami, Florida, he graduated from Miami Northwestern high school. Bridgewater went on to play college football at Louisville, leading the Cardinals to an upset victory over the Florida Gators in the 2013 Sugar Bowl. In sports, the practice squad, also called the taxi squad or practice roster, is a group of players signed by a team but not part of their main roster. Frequently used in gridiron football, they serve as extra players during the team's practices, often as part of the scout team by emulating an upcoming opponent's play style. Because the players on the practice squad are familiar with the team's plays and formations, the practice squad serves as a way to develop inexperienced players for promotion to the main roster. This is particularly important for professional gridiron football teams, which do not have formal minor league farm team affiliates to train players.
