Brandon Cooper
Brandon James Cooper (born 14 January 2000) is a Welsh professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for EFL League One club Leyton Orient. He is a former Wales Under-21 international. Career Swansea City Cooper has been at Swansea since the age of 6. He played for the Swansea under-18s and under-23s then signed a professional contract extension in March 2018. He was handed his debut for Swansea on 28 August 2018 in a 1–0 defeat to Crystal Palace in the EFL Cup. On 7 February 2020, Cooper joined National League side Yeovil Town on loan until the end of the 2019–20 season. On 7 September 2020, Cooper joined League Two side Newport County on a season-long loan. He made his debut for Newport on 8 September 2020 in the starting line up for the 1-0 EFL Trophy defeat to Cheltenham Town. Porthcawl
Porthcawl (, ) is a town and community on the south coast of Wales in the county borough of Bridgend, west of the capital city, Cardiff and southeast of Swansea. Historically part of Glamorgan and situated on a low limestone headland on the South Wales coast, overlooking the Bristol Channel, Porthcawl developed as a coal port during the 19th century, but its trade was soon taken over by more rapidly developing ports such as Barry. Northwest of the town, in the dunes known as Kenfig Burrows, are hidden the last remnants of the town and Kenfig Castle, which were overwhelmed by sand about 1400. Toponymy is a common Welsh element meaning "harbour" and the ' here refers to "sea kale", which must have grown in profusion or even been collected here. 2019–20 National League
The 2019–20 National League season, known as the Vanarama National League for sponsorship reasons, was the fifth season under English football's new title of National League, the sixteenth season consisting of three divisions, and the forty-first season overall. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the National League season was initially suspended on 16 March 2020 until at least 3 April. On 31 March, this suspension was extended indefinitely until further notice. On 22 April, clubs voted to end the season, with promotions and relegations still "under careful consideration". EFL Championship
The English Football League Championship (often referred to as the Championship for short or the Sky Bet Championship for sponsorship purposes) is the highest division of the English Football League (EFL) and second-highest overall in the English football league system, after the Premier League. The league is contested by 24 clubs. Introduced for the 2004–05 season as the Football League Championship the division was previously known as the Football League Second Division ( 1892– 1992) and Football League First Division ( 1992– 2004). The winning club of the Championship receives the EFL Championship trophy, the same trophy that was awarded to English First Division champions from 1892 until 1992. As in other divisions of professional English football, Welsh clubs can be part of the division, making it a cross-border league.
