Brandon Bogotay
Brandon Bogotay (born May 8, 1989) is an American football placekicker. High school years Bogotay attended Patrick Henry High School in his hometown of San Diego, California. College career Before attending the University of Georgia, Bogotay spent one season at Grossmont College in El Cajon, California, where he was named a First-team All-Southern Conference selection after completing 15 of 15 PAT kicks and converting 15-of-23 field goals with a long of 52 yards. A three-year letterman as a kicker at the University of Georgia (2009–11), Bogotay appeared in 14 contests, while kicking behind current Minnesota Vikings kicker Blair Walsh, who as a rookie in 2012 was voted to the NFC Pro Bowl squad. During his collegiate career, Bogotay handled kickoff duties as eight of his 29 career kickoffs went for touchbacks. He also converted all seven career PATs. Placekicker
Placekicker, or simply kicker (PK or K), is the player in gridiron football who is responsible for the kicking duties of field goals and extra points. In many cases, the placekicker also serves as the team's kickoff specialist or punter. Specialized role The kicker initially was not a specialized role. Prior to the 1934 standardization of the prolate spheroid shape of the ball, drop kicking was the prevalent method of kicking field goals and conversions, but even after its replacement by place kicking, until the 1960s the kicker almost always doubled at another position on the roster. Blair Walsh
Blair Richard Walsh (born January 8, 1990) is an American football placekicker who is a free agent. Walsh played college football at Georgia and was selected by the Vikings in the sixth round of the 2012 NFL Draft. In his first year, Walsh set the NFL records for the most field goals of 50 or more yards in a season and the highest field goal percentage by a rookie. He also earned Pro Bowl and first-team All-Pro honors. However, after missing a game-winning kick during the 2015 playoffs, Walsh struggled the following season, which led to his release from Minnesota. Walsh later spent one season with the Seattle Seahawks. Philip Drury Dawson (born January 23, 1975) is a former American football placekicker. He played for the Cleveland Browns from 1999 to 2012 and holds their franchise record for most field goals made, passing Hall of Famer Lou Groza in 2010. He played college football at Texas. He also played for the San Francisco 49ers from 2013-2016, and the Arizona Cardinals in 2017 and 2018. He signed a contract in 2019 to retire as a member of the team that he started with, the Cleveland Browns. High school career Dawson attended Lake Highlands High School in Dallas, Texas and was a letterman in football. Michael Shayne Graham (born December 9, 1977) is an American football coach and former placekicker. Graham played 15 seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Virginia Tech. He made his professional debut in May 2000 with the Richmond Speed of the Arena Football League's now-defunct developmental league, AF2. His first NFL contract was with the New Orleans Saints where he signed as an undrafted free agent in 2000. A journeyman most of his career, he played for 14 different NFL franchises over 9 seasons, excluding the 7 seasons he spent with the Cincinnati Bengals.
