''Brand X with Russell Brand'' is an American late-night talk show, stand up comedy television series that premiered on FX on June 28, 2012, starring English comedian Russell Brand and created by Brand and Troy Miller. Its second season concluded on May 2, 2013. On June 6, 2013, FX announced that ''Brand X'' would not be renewed for a third season. Production Season 1 For the first half of season 1 (2012), there weren't any guests, just an extended monologue with three loosely connected topics. Brand was accompanied on stage by his political analyst Matt Stoller in season 1. After doing stand-up comedy for years, he became the host of NBC's ''The Tonight Show'' from 1992 to 2009.
