Brampton Arts Walk Of Fame
The Brampton Arts Walk of Fame is an honours system located at the Rose Theatre Brampton, in Ontario, Canada. It previously was known as the Brampton Walk of Fame, or Art Walk of Fame. The first currently recognized inductions took place in 2014, and include past and present residents of Brampton. A previous incarnation, launched in summer 2011 in promotion of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards, included an actress who was making her first visit to Brampton. Rose Theatre Brampton
The Rose is a municipally-owned theatre located in downtown Brampton, Ontario. Originally Rose Theatre Brampton, a series of public events throughout September 2006 culminated in a grand opening on 29 September featuring Diana Krall. The theatre includes a main performance hall with seating for 880, and a smaller multi-purpose hall with seating for 130–160, depending on configuration It was built as "a cultural and tourist destination that will attract significant new business to surrounding restaurants, shops and services". City planners projected that the facilities would generate $2.7 million in economic activity in its first year of operation, and grow to $19.8 million by the fifth year. This is predicted to attract more than 55,000 visitors annually who will spend about $275,000 on before and after-show entertainment, creating close to 300 permanent jobs. Julien Christian Lutz (born October 31, 1975), known professionally as Director X, is a Canadian filmmaker, commercial director, music video director, and television director. Having directed more than 100 music videos, he is widely known as a prolific music video director in the industry. He has also directed feature films and television series. Early life Lutz was born and raised in the Greater Toronto Area, mostly in and around Brampton, and is of mixed Trinidadian and Swiss descent. Othalie Graham is a Canadian and American dramatic soprano, known for operatic roles such as Turandot in ''Turandot'', Tosca in ''Tosca'', Minnie in ''La fanciulla del West'', Aida in ''Aida'', Elektra in '' Elektra'' and Ariadne in ''Ariadne Auf Naxos''. Andy Donato
Andy Donato is an editorial cartoonist and former art director for the ''Toronto Sun''. Life and career Donato graduated from Danforth Collegiate and Technical Institute and worked at Eaton's as a layout artist. He joined the ''Toronto Telegram'' in 1961, working as a graphic artist in the promotion department. In 1968, he was appointed art director and began cartooning on a part-time basis. After ''The Telegram'' folded in 1971, he joined ''The Toronto Sun''. In 1974, he started cartooning full-time. In 1985 and 1986, he served as president of the Association of American Editorial Cartoonists. He is well known among ''Sun'' readers for his signature image of a bird, "Donato's bird." Lee Aaron
Lee Aaron (born Karen Lynn Greening; July 21, 1962) is a Canadian rock singer. She had several hits in the 1980s and early 1990s, such as "Metal Queen", "Whatcha Do to My Body", and "Sex with Love". Early life Aaron was born as Karen Lynn Greening in Belleville, Ontario, and began singing in school musicals at the age of five. She attended high school in Brampton, Ontario. At age seventeen, Aaron was in a car accident. No surgery was required, but she did suffer a broken nose and badly bruised her face. However, years later ''Canadian Musician Magazine'' mistakenly embellished the incident into Aaron requiring complete facial reconstruction. Tara Oram (born April 28, 1984) is a Canadian country music recording artist and TV personality. She was a top six finalist on the fifth season of '' Canadian Idol'' in 2007.
