Brammarajan
Brammarajan is the pseudonym of A. Rajaram (born 24 April 1953), an Indian poet, translator, essayist, critic and editor. Biography He was born in a family of farmers. He was educated in the erstwhile Bharathi Vidhyalaya High School (present Sri Ramakrishna Saradha Vidayala Higher Secondary School), Subramaniya Nagar in Salem. He did his B.A. degree in English literature in Government Arts College, Maravaneri, Salem. He obtained his master's degree in English language and literature from Annamalai University, securing the first class honors and a gold medal for securing the first rank. He joined government service as an Assistant Professor of English and taught in various government colleges. His literary career started when he went to help the little magazine named ஃ (AHQ). This magazine was being edited by Paranthaman of Salem. Simultaneously he was translating literary articles and European poets for Tamil readers. Tamil Language
Tamil (; ' , ) is a Dravidian language natively spoken by the Tamil people of South Asia. Tamil is an official language of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, the sovereign nations of Sri Lanka and Singapore, and the Indian territory of Puducherry. Tamil is also spoken by significant minorities in the four other South Indian states of Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, and the Union Territory of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Miroslav Holub
Miroslav Holub (; 13 September 1923 – 14 July 1998) was a Czech poet and immunologist. Holub's work was heavily influenced by his experiences as an Immunologist, writing many poems using his scientific knowledge to poetic effect. His work is almost always unrhymed, so lends itself easily to translation. It has been translated into more than 30 languages and is especially popular in the English-speaking world. Although one of the most internationally well-known Czech poets, his reputation continues to languish at home. Holub was born in Plzeň. His first book in Czech was ''Denní služba'' (1958), which abandoned the somewhat Stalinist bent of poems earlier in the decade (published in magazines). Octavio Paz
Octavio Paz Lozano (March 31, 1914 – April 19, 1998) was a Mexican poet and diplomat. For his body of work, he was awarded the 1977 Jerusalem Prize, the 1981 Miguel de Cervantes Prize, the 1982 Neustadt International Prize for Literature, and the 1990 Nobel Prize in Literature. Early life Octavio Paz was born near Mexico City. His family was a prominent liberal political family in Mexico, with Spanish and indigenous Mexican roots. with his grandfather, Ireneo Paz, the family's patriarch, having fought in the War of the Reform against conservatives, and then became a staunch supporter of liberal war hero Porfirio Díaz up until just before the 1910 outbreak of the Mexican Revolution.
