Brainpower (song)
"Brainpower" is a song by the synthpop band Freezepop (band), Freezepop. It is the sixth track on the non limited edition of the band's third album, ''Future Future Future Perfect'', and seventh on the limited edition of the album. The song appears as a bonus track in the music video game ''Rock Band (video game), Rock Band''. According to Liz Enthusiasm, the song is a true story, and is based on a time she became drunk and decided that "Brainpower" would be a good idea for a band name, only to then change her mind. According to Sean T. Drinkwater, there is allegedly an allegory in the song. The music video for the song was directed by Mega64 and posted on YouTube on March 4, 2008. In it, the band performs the song live on a low-budget cable show while a young viewer (portrayed by Frank Howley) uses a special remote to alter the reality of the performance on his TV. ''Future Future Future Perfect'' is the third full-length studio album by Freezepop. It was released on September 25, 2007 by Cordless Recordings. History The first details of the album were posted on April 16, 2007 on the band's MySpace blog. More details were posted on June 8, again on the band's MySpace blog. This update included the album's title and release date. On July 10, the band posted the song "Ninja of Love" on their MySpace band profile for their fans to preview. On August 25, the band played at PAX 2007, during which they confirmed their song "Brainpower" would feature in the upcoming game '' Rock Band''. Sean Miguel Thompson, better known by his stage name Sean T, is an American rapper and record producer from East Palo Alto, California. Throughout his career both as a rapper and a producer, he has released seven solo albums, two albums with his group Murder One Gangstas and has worked with some of California's top rappers, including E-40, C-Bo, and 3X Krazy. Kasson Crooker is an American electronic musician, a composer, and the artist behind Symbion Project, his solo moniker. His past bands are Freezepop, Splashdown, Larkspur, and Sirensong. DJ HMX, Komputer Kontroller, and Cosmonaut Zero were alias bands of Crooker used only for the videogames ''FreQuency'' and ''Amplitude''. Justinne "Jussi" Gamache, also known by her pseudonym Liz Enthusiasm, is the lead singer of indie synthpop band Freezepop. She lives in Massachusetts. Gamache also works in graphic design, and has done design work on Freezepop's website, albums, and their 2016 Kickstarter campaign. She has created several music videos for Freezepop using then- Macromedia's Flash program. Gamache writes the majority of her lyrics in English, but has also written songs in Japanese ("Tenisu no Boifurendo"), and French ("Parlez-Vous Freezepop?").
