Brahmkumar Bhatt
Brahmkumar Bhatt (1921-2009) was an Indian independence activist, Mahagujarat movement activist and socialist politician from Gujarat, India. He was elected as Member Of Legislative Assembly in Bombay State and Gujarat from Khadia constituent assembly. Later, he represented Gujarat as Member of parliament in Rajya Sabha during 1998–2004. He also served as chairman of Gujarat Electricity Board and authored book named ''Le Ke Rahenge Mahagujarat'' which documentises the Mahagujarat movement. He was member of Praja Socialist Party The Praja Socialist Party, abbreviated as PSP, was an Indian political party. The Rajya Sabha (meaning the "Council of States") is the upper house of the Parliament of India. Gujarat elects 11 seats and they are indirectly elected by the state legislators of Gujarat. Earlier since 1952, Bombay State elects 17 seats, Saurashtra State elects 4 seats and Kutch State elects 1 seat. After Constitution (Seventh Amendment) Act of 1956, Bombay State elects 27 seats. After Bombay Reorganisation Act of 1960, three seats were increased and effective from 1 May 1960, the new Gujarat State elects 11 seats while new Maharshtra State elects 19 seats. Praja Socialist Party
The Praja Socialist Party, abbreviated as PSP, was an Indian political party. It was founded when the Socialist Party, led by Jayaprakash Narayan, Rambriksh Benipuri, Acharya Narendra Deva and Basawon Singh (Sinha), merged with the Kisan Mazdoor Praja Party led by J. B. Kripalani (former president of the Indian National Congress and a close associate of Jawaharlal Nehru). It led the cabinet under Pattom A. Thanu Pillai as chief minister of State of Travancore-Cochin from March 1954 to February 1955. A section led by Rammanohar Lohia broke from the party in 1955, resuming the name "Socialist Party". Gujarati People
The Gujarati people or Gujaratis, are an Indo-Aryan ethnolinguistic group who reside in or can trace their ancestry or heritage to the present-day western Indian state of Gujarat.
