Brahma Vishnu Maheshwara
''Brahma Vishnu Maheshwara'' is a 1988 Indian Kannada-language action drama film, written and directed by Rajachandra and produced by Rohini Pictures. The film had an ensemble cast including Ambarish, Ananth Nag, V. Ravichandran, Thulasi, Kiran Juneja and Mahalakshmi, while many other prominent actors featured in supporting roles. The soundtrack and score composition were by Vijayanand, and the lyrics along with the dialogues were written by Chi. Udaya Shankar. The film was a remake of 1977 Tamil film '' Chakravarthy'' which was also remade in Telugu as ''Mugguru Mithrulu'' (1985) and in Hindi as ''Dosti Dushmani'' (1986). In Hindu mythology, Ambarisha ( sa, अम्बरीषः, ) is an Ikshvaku king, and the son of Mandhata.Pargiter, F.E. (1972) 922 ''Ancient Indian Historical Tradition'', Delhi: Motilal Banarsidass, p.92. He is believed to have conquered the whole world in a week. He lived during the Treta Yuga. Legend ''Ramayana'' The Ramayana contains a variation of an ''Aitareya Brahmana'' legend about the king Harishchandra. In the Ramayana version, the king is named Ambarisha, instead of Harishchandra. According to this legend, Ambarisha was once engaged in a Ashvamedha Yagna at his capital Ayodhya. During this ceremony, the horse of Ashvamedha was stolen by Indra. The priest conducting the ceremony told the king that he needed to find the animal, or perform a human sacrifice to avert the misfortune resulting from the situation. C. H. Loknath (14 August 1927 – 31 December 2018) was an Indian actor with more than 1000 Kannada plays and 650 films to his credit. Loknath is affectionately known as "Uncle Loknath" or "Uppinakayi" in the industry. His last performance was in a Star Suvarna Channel's TV series titled ''Priyadarshini''.
