Brad Guan
Brad Guan (born 10 July 1958) is a former professional tennis player from Australia. Grand Slam career Guan made his first appearance in the main singles draw of a Grand Slam at the 1981 Australian Open, where he lost in the opening round to Pat Du Pré, in five sets. He was also beaten in the first round of the 1982 French Open, by Juan Avendaño, but made the men's doubles quarter-finals, with Derek Tarr as his partner. This equaled his best Grand Slam performance, as he also reached the quarter-finals in the doubles at the 1980 Australian Open, partnering Ernie Ewart. His best singles effort came when he made the third round at the 1982 Australian Open. Grand Prix tour On the Grand Prix tennis circuit, Guan made one doubles final, at the 1979 Australian Hard Court Tennis Championships with Phil Davies. They lost to John James and Chris Kachel. 1982 Australian Open – Men's Singles
Defending champion Johan Kriek defeated Steve Denton in a rematch of the previous year's final, 6–3, 6–3, 6–2 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 1982 Australian Open. Kriek saved a match point en route to the title, against Paul McNamee in the semifinals. ATP Challenger Series
The ATP Challenger Tour, known until the end of 2008 as the ATP Challenger Series, is a series of international men's professional tennis tournaments. The Challenger Tour events are the second-highest tier of tennis competition, behind the ATP Tour. The ITF World Tennis Tour tournaments are on the entry-level of international professional tennis competition. The ATP Challenger Tour is administered by the Association of Tennis Professionals. Players who succeed on the ATP Challenger Tour earn sufficient ranking points to become eligible for main draw or qualifying draw entry at ATP Tour tournaments. David Mustard
David Mustard (born 29 December 1959) is a former professional tennis player from New Zealand. Biography Mustard played professionally on the Grand Prix tennis circuit during the 1980s and won an ATP Challenger tournament in Sutton in 1984. He twice made it past the first round of the Australian Open, mostly notably in 1984 when he gave eventual champion Mats Wilander a close contest in the second round, before losing in four sets. After winning the first set 6–1, Mustard was unable to repeat that performance in the second but had opportunities in the next two sets. He led Wilander 5–2 in the third set and 3–0 in the fourth, but the Swede was able to secure both sets and the match. His best performance in a Grand Slam tournament came in the 1985 Wimbledon Championships when he made the third round, as a qualifier. Wayne Hampson (born 23 August 1957) is a former professional tennis player from Australia. Career Hampson competed in the main singles draw of the Australian Open three times and Wimbledon twice, without managing to register a win. The closest he got was at the 1982 Australian Open, where he received a first round bye, before a five set loss in the second round to Eric Sherbeck, the last decided in a tiebreak. Travemünde
Travemünde () is a borough of Lübeck, Germany, located at the mouth of the river Trave in Bay of Lübeck, Lübeck Bay. It began life as a fortress built by Henry the Lion, Duke of Saxony, in the 12th century to guard the mouth of the Trave, and the Denmark, Danes subsequently strengthened it. Ricardo Ycaza (born 16 February 1958) is an Ecuadorian tennis player who was a world top 10 junior, a Davis Cup stalwart, and a world top 100 touring professional. Tennis career His most noteworthy achievement was winning the 1976 US Open Junior tournament. In the semi-finals of that tournament he staged a third-set comeback to defeat John McEnroe after saving two match points at 2–5 in the third set and after coming back from 2–4 in the third-set tiebreaker. Ismail El Shafei ( ar, إسماعيل الشافعي) (born 15 November 1947) is an Egyptian former professional tennis player and president of the Egyptian Tennis Federation. He is currently a member of the board of directors of the International Tennis Federation and is chairman of the ITF Junior Circuit. He won six career singles titles and reached eleven finals.
