Brad Greenberg
Brad Howard Greenberg (born February 24, 1954) is an American basketball coach. Early life and college playing career Greenberg was one of three sons of Marilyn and Ralph Greenberg of Plainview, New York, on Long Island. One of his brothers, Seth, would also grow up to be a college basketball coach. Brad Greenberg graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 1972, then went to Washington State University as a freshman and played on the Washington State Cougars basketball team. He transferred to American University in Washington, D. C. and lettered in basketball from 1974 to 1977. Greenberg graduated from American University with a B.A. in interdisciplinary studies in athletics, media, and society. Coaching career Greenberg began his coaching career in 1977 as an assistant coach at his alma mater American University. The tournament has been held every year since 1986. It is a single-elimination tournament and seeding is based on regular season records. The winner, declared conference champion, receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA men's basketball tournament. However, the conference did not have an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament from 1986 to 1990, and in 1995. Before the 1994-95 season, Campbell departed the Big South due to scheduling conflicts. The FIBA Europe Cup (FEC) is an annual professional club basketball competition organised by FIBA for eligible European clubs. It is FIBA's European-wide second level. Clubs mainly qualify for the competition based on their performance in national leagues and cup competitions, although this is not the sole deciding factor. The league was founded in 2015 as a replacement of the FIBA EuroChallenge. History On June 30, 2015, FIBA announced it would start a new league to compete with Euroleague Basketball's EuroCup. Mets De Guaynabo (basketball)
Mets de Guaynabo is a Puerto Rican professional basketball team of the Baloncesto Superior Nacional based in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. The team dissolved in 2015, but was reinstated with new ownership in 2019. The team was founded in 1935 as the original Cangrejeros de Santurce based in San Juan, Puerto Rico, one of the first professional clubs in the San Juan Metropolitan Area. In 1976 the franchise relocated to the city of Guaynabo and was renamed as the Mets de Guaynabo. Since 1983 the team's home court is Mario Morales Coliseum, named after famed basketball player Mario Morales, who led the team to its three titles in the 1980s.
