List Of Brassicaceae Genera
There are around 350 genera in the plant family Brassicaceae. The type genus is ''Brassica'' (cabbage and mustards). Genera with a large number of species are ''Alyssum'' (madworts), ''Arabis'' (rockcresses), ''Cardamine'' (bittercresses), ''Draba'' (whitlow-grasses), ''Erysimum'' (wallflowers), '' Heliophila'', ''Lepidium'' (pepperworts), ''Noccaea'', '' Odontarrhena'', ''Physaria'' (bladderpods), and ''Rorippa'' (yellowcresses). The following list includes the genera that are accepted by either the 2021 ''Update on the Brassicaceae species checklist'' or v1.3 of ''BrassiBase'' (as accessed in late 2021). Most genera are accepted by both sources; those supported by only one of them are flagged with a footnote. Brachypus (bird)
''Pycnonotus'' is a genus of frugivorous passerine birds in the bulbul family Pycnonotidae. Taxonomy and systematics The genus ''Pycnonotus'' was introduced by the German zoologist Friedrich Boie in 1826 with the Cape bulbul as the type species. The name of the genus combines the Ancient Greek words ''puknos'' "thick" or "compact" and ''-nōtos'' "-backed". The genus contains the following 32 species: * Cream-vented bulbul (''Pycnonotus simplex'') * Olive-winged bulbul (''Pycnonotus plumosus'') * Asian red-eyed bulbul (''Pycnonotus brunneus'') * Straw-headed bulbul (''Pycnonotus zeylanicus'') * Cream-eyed bulbul (''Pycnonotus pseudosimplex'') * Ashy-fronted bulbul (''Pycnonotus cinereifrons'') * White-browed bulbul (''Pycnonotus luteolus'') * Ayeyarwady bulbul (''Pycnonotus blanfordi'') * Streak-eared bulbul (''Pycnonotus conradi'') * Stripe-throated bulbul (''Pycnonotus finlaysoni'') * Flavescent bulbul (''Pycnonotus flavescens'') * Aceh bulbul (''Pycnonotus snouckaerti ...

List Of Crinoid Genera
This list of crinoid genera is an attempt to create a comprehensive listing of all genera that have ever been considered to be crinoids, excluding purely vernacular terms. The list includes all commonly accepted genera, but also genera that are now considered invalid, doubtful ('' nomina dubia''), or were not formally published (''nomina nuda''), as well as junior synonyms of more established names, and genera that are no longer considered crinoids. Naming conventions and terminology Naming conventions and terminology follow the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature (ICZN). Technical terms used include: * Junior synonym: A name which describes the same taxon as a previously published name. If two or more genera are formally designated and the type specimens In biology, a type is a particular specimen (or in some cases a group of specimens) of an organism to which the scientific name of that organism is formally attached. In other words, a type is an example tha ...

Caulerpa Brachypus
''Caulerpa brachypus'' is a species of seaweed in the ''Caulerpaceae'' family. It was first described in 1860 by the Irish botanist William Henry Harvey, having been collected during the North Pacific Exploring and Surveying Expedition of 1853 to 1856. It is native to the Indo-Pacific region and has spread elsewhere. It is regarded as an invasive species in the United States, Martinique and New Zealand. Description ''Caulerpa brachypus'' is a green seaweed with a horizontal creeping stolon which sends up blade-like fronds on short rhizoids at intervals. These thalli are tongue-like or strap-like in shape, up to long and mainly green, sometimes with yellowish margins. Where they occur together, it is difficult to distinguish this species from other members of the genus '' Caulerpa'', especially as there is considerable variation between different populations of ''Caulerpa brachypus'' growing in different habitats. Where conditions suit it, it can become very profuse and form ...
