Boyscout (Thai Band)
Boyscout ( th, บอยสเก๊าท์) was a Thai boy band famous and popular in the 1990s under RS Promotion. History All three members of this band were former actors who were played as the students in ''A-Nueng-Kid-Tung-Por-Sung-Khaeb'' ( th, อนึ่งคิดถึงพอสังเขป). Boyscout was the first boy band to form as a trio at RS Promotion. They were the second boy band to appear with Hijack. The band released two studio albums in 1993 and 1995, and a one-off special album. While promoting the release of their third studio album, band member Ta-Winrawee was found to be a drugs criminal. Because of this they decided to eventually split up. After 15 years, Boyscout returned as a band again. Thai pop or T-pop, is a genre of Thai music roughly equivalent to western pop. It emerged in the 1970s–80s, during which it was known as string music ( th, เพลงสตริง), before gaining mainstream popularity during the 1990s and has since dominated the Thai music industry. The term is extremely broad, covering Thai rock, dance music, rap and western-influenced popular music in general, though normally excluding the folk and rock-influenced ''phleng phuea chiwit''. Hijack ( th, ไฮแจ็ค) was a Thai boy band famous and popular in the 1990s under RS Promotion. They are the first boy band of RS label. The band released two studio albums in 1993 and 1994, and a one-off special album with the Raptor. While promoting the release of their third studio album, band member Phi–Phiraphan seriously injured his foot. Because of this they decided to eventually split up.
