Anker Boye
Anker Boye (born 12 February 1950) is a Denmark, Danish politician representing the Social Democrats (Denmark), Social Democratic Party. He is a painter by profession. Anker Boye was elected as mayor of Odense municipality, Odense, Denmark's third-largest city, in 1993 and served in that capacity until 2005. In 2001, he got a historic number of votes and carried almost all fourteen members of the Social Democratic group into the City Council. He was defeated in the 2005 municipal elections by the Conservative People's Party (Denmark), Conservative challenger, Jan Boye, county mayor of Funen County, Funen (no relation). The elections were a massive defeat for the Social Democrats, losing four of their fourteen seats in Odense City Council. From 1 January 2006 to 31 December 2009, he was mayor of Odense, Denmark's third largest city. He served as County Mayor of Funen County from 2001-05. He also served as the chairman of Dansk Håndbold Forbund from June 2011 to his death. Karin Boye
Karin Maria Boye (; 26 October 1900 – 24 April 1941) was a Swedish poet and novelist. In Sweden she is acclaimed as a poet, but internationally she is best known for the dystopian science fiction novel '' Kallocain'' (1940). Career Boye was born in Gothenburg (Göteborg), Sweden and moved with her family to Stockholm in 1909. In Stockholm, she studied at the ''Åhlinska skolan'' until 1920. She studied at Uppsala University from 1921 to 1926 and debuted in 1922 with a collection of poems, "Clouds" (Swedish: ). During her time in Uppsala and until 1930, Boye was a member of the Swedish Clarté League, a socialist group that was strongly antifascist. She was also a member of the women's organization Nya Idun. In 1931, Boye, together with Erik Mesterton and Josef Riwkin, founded the poetry magazine ''Spektrum'', introducing T. S. Eliot and the Surrealists to Swedish readers. Martin Hans Boyè
Martin Hans Boyè (6 December 1812 – 6 March 1907) was a Danish-American chemist. Boyè was born in Copenhagen, Denmark on 6 December 1812, son of a chemist in charge of the works of the Royal Porcelain Manufactury. He attended the Copenhagen University and then the Polytechnic School, where he was taught by Johan Georg Forchhammer, graduating with honors in 1835. At the age of 24, in 1836, Boyè emigrated to New York, and in 1837 moved to Philadelphia where he became a student of Robert Hare (chemist), Robert Hare. In 1838 he was employed as a geologist in the New Jersey geological survey under Henry Darwin Rogers. In 1839 the ''Journal of the Franklin Institute'' published an analysis of a specimen of iron ore from "Iron Mountain", Missouri by Rogers and Boye. Torben Boye (born 2 May 1966) is a Danish former professional football (soccer) player, who played his entire career for Danish Superliga club Aalborg Boldspilklub (AaB). Boye has set a number of records for the club, including most played games, as he played 560 matches for AaB. He debuted for AaB as a midfielder in 1984, and following a couple of seasons as a right back he ended in the centre back position. He stopped at the top level following the Danish Superliga 2001-02 season . Boye joined AaB in the Danish 3rd Division, and he saw the club rise through the ranks of Danish football, including two Danish football championships in the 1995 and 1999 seasons.
