Bowral, New South Wales
Bowral () is the largest town in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, Australia, about ninety minutes southwest of Sydney. It is the main business and entertainment precinct of the Wingecarribee Shire and Highlands. Bowral once served as a rural summer retreat for the gentry of Sydney, resulting in the establishment of a number of estates and manor houses in the district. Today, it is considered a "dormitory suburb" for commuter Sydneysiders, though it is 132 km away from the city centre. Bowral is often associated with the cricketer Sir Donald Bradman. The Labor Daily
The ''Labor Daily'' was a Sydney-based journal/newspaper of the early to mid 20th century. An organ of the Australian Labor Party, it was published in Sydney by Stanley Roy Wasson after the ailing ''Daily Mail'' was absorbed by Labor Papers Ltd, who began publication under that name on 6 January 1922 with the strong support of Albert Willis and the Miners' Federation. Willis was managing director 1926–1931 and chairman 1924–1930 and one of the most powerful political figures in the state. After a few weeks the paper's name was changed to the ''Labor Daily'' and was a supporter of Lang Labor. In 1929 receivers sold '' Beckett's Budget'' to Labor Daily Ltd. The paper also became the major sponsor of the New South Wales Rugby Football League premiership from 1934, with the winners of the competition from 1934 to 1950 being awarded the Labour Daily Cup. ''The Robertson Advocate'' was an English language broadsheet newspaper published twice weekly, on Tuesdays and Fridays, in Mittagong, New South Wales, Australia. In 1924 the paper changed its name to ''The Robertson Mail''. History The paper is thought to have commenced publication some time before January 1888, and it continued under the same title until 28 December 1923. Beneath the title the banner reads: "Kangaloon, Wild's Meadow, Yarrunga, Kangaroo Valley Times". The last issue of the paper under its original title was Vol. 38 No. 101. ''The Scrutineer and Berrima District Press'' was a newspaper published in Moss Vale, New South Wales, Australia from 1874 until 1949. It was also published as ''The Scrutineer and West Camden Advocate'' and ''The Scrutineer''. History ''The Scrutineer and West Camden Advocate'' was first published on 9 April 1874 by William Joseph McCourt. McCourt sold the newspaper in 1886 for £300. Colo Vale () is a Northern Village of the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, Australia, in Wingecarribee Shire. Colo Vale is approximately 100 km south west on the Hume Highway from Sydney.
